"Repeat that, Miss Davis," Owen stated as Nathan leant down to whisper in Luke's ear.
"Huh?" she asked as she blinked to focus on him.
"Dr. Green didn't hear you," Owen explained as he pulled on his tie to begin removing it. "Repeat what you told Mr. Lee."
"Dakota?" she asked in a confused tone.
"Yeah," Kota nodded, "I was watching Marc fix Liam's taco bag since Marc can be messy sometimes and I wanted to make sure Max didn't get any. What did you say?"
"I...um...I," she cleared her throat and grabbed the cuffs of Gabe's hoodie sleeves. "I...I..."
"Hey, look at me," Gabe murmured as he cupped her face in his hands. "Take a deep breath and hold it for me." She inhaled and held her breath. Her hands wrapped around his wrists tightly. "Good girl," Gabe smiled gently. "Now slowly breathe out." She exhaled, slowly loosening her grip on Gabe's wrists. "Very good, now one more time." She repeated the exercise while keeping her eyes on his. "Good girl," he smiled proudly at her. "Now what did you tell Kota?"
"I took my last valium," she murmured, tightening her hold on his wrists again."No r...r...reason for Doc...Doc..." she let out a heavy sigh.
"Just call him Doc," Gabe smiled gently. "We all do."
Her shoulders dropped in relief. "No reason write down. His glass match Blackbourne."
Gabe smirked, "His glasses do match Blackbourne's. Thank you for telling me. How about we make you a taco bag and you try and take a couple bites to see if it will help you feel better? Just try a few bites?"
She barely nodded, "Okay."
"Thank you," Gabe smiled before handing her her bunny back. He sat on the floor by the box of chips and moved her onto his lap, wrapping his arm around her stomach. He felt her tense but started going through the box of chips, "toss these red Doritos to Bran please, those are his favorite."
"Ohhh yeah!" Brandon smiled as he held his hands up. She bit her bottom lip nervously but tossed them before gasping as Brandon caught them before they hit Silas in the face.
"Sorry!" She mumbled behind her hands.
"It's fine, trust me," Silas chuckled, "you should see Gabe when he can't find certain shoes. Flying shoes hurt, I'll gladly take chips over shoes."
"Hey!" Gabe protested, "It's not my fault you don't put your shoes back where they belong! If you would just put them back in the closet I wouldn't have to go searching for them for you."
Heidi started giggling, making the group of men smile. "Nee chore char, Hi Hi," Liam said around a mouth full of chewed up food.
"Don't talk with your mouth full, Lee Lee," Heidi corrected before nodding, "but yes I agree, a chore chart would be good."
"Me haves chore char," he said after he swallowed his food.
"That's great, Lil Man," Gabe smiled. "I'll have to look at it later and make one similar for these goofy guys."
"You will need one as well, Mr. Coleman," Owen stated while giving him a stern look.
"Oy, I know," Gabe nodded.
"Why do that?" Liam asked, looking at Owen.
"Excuse me?" Owen asked with confusion.
"You no say name," Liam pointed out, "why?"
"Liam," Heidi gently scolded while shaking her head. "Hush."
"It's perfectly alright to ask," Owen shook his head. "I speak this way, Mr. Davis, because I am a professional and it is my way of showing respect to my family."
Liam looked at him for a few silent minutes then said, "Faber show spect say fist names. Peeples he no like he say wast name. Family, fwiends be call fist names, shows love."
"Liam!" Heidi gasped. "That was rude, I'm sorry Blackbourne." She climbed out of Gabe's lap and knelt down in front of her little brother. "Liam, while that is true about Father, not everyone is like him. Do you remember me telling you that everyone is different and that is okay?" Liam pouted and nodded, "Okay, well Mr. Blackbourne is different and that is okay. He likes to be professional all the time, that is just the way he is. Just because you and I like to use first names and nicknames to the people that we love and care about, doesn't mean Mr. Blackbourne has to and that is okay. We can show our respect to Mr. Blackbourne by accepting him the way he is. Now if he was rude and mean to us, that is another situation, but is he being rude or mean to me or you?"
"No mean no more to you," Liam shook his head.
Not seeing the wince from multiple men, including the man of the conversation, she smiled gently, "That's true, so l think since we're giving second chances to him, we need to respect his way of speaking and treating his family."
"Otay," He nodded then shifted slightly to look past Heidi to Owen. "Orry B."
Owen nodded, "Thank you. Please know that I appreciate you asking because that is how you learn. It is never wrong to ask questions. Honestly, I hadn't thought about how it would look to others and you have given me a new perspective on my family. I appreciate it and I would like to try and be more like your father, he was an honorable man. I looked up to him, in fact many of us did. Do you think you could help me with that?"
