Chapter 35

Sebastien's POV

"Emily and Theodore have been arrested. You are safe now, baby."

I kissed Bella's forehead.

"That's pretty much good. Finally, we can live peacefully ." She replied.

"So what have you thought about your identity? Like, are you gonna live as Evelyn?" I asked her.

She laid her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arms around mine.

"As Evelyn, I finally got a family. They lost their daughter and gave her identity to me. It's not easy for anyone to give their child's place to anyone. They let me feel as if I'm not their own daughter. I own my life to them. I want to embrace this identity forever and be the daughter they want. Maybe god felt that he did injustice to them, so he sent their daughter back to me in my form."

I caressed her cheek with my thumb,

"You know this is what I love about you the most . You are kind-hearted. You always think about others rather than being selfish all the time." I said.

"This time, I'm also a little bit greedy . All my life, I missed my parents. I finally got them, and I don't wanna lose them." She smiled.

"So Miss Moore, would you like to go on a date with me?" I asked.

She cleared her throat and said in a dramatic way,

"Sorry, Mr Robinson, I can't go on a date with you. You are my boss, I don't wanna mix my personal and professional life. Besides, I already have a boyfriend ."

I played along, " Ahh, you broke my heart. Your boyfriend is such a lucky guy. Can I meet him?"

"Of course, but don't be jealous. He is so handsome. " She took my hand guided me.

She pointed towards the mirror and said, " There he is, my prince charming. He is gorgeous ." She squealed, and both of us burst into laughter.

"On a serious note, we are going for a dinner date tonight, baby, and I hope you will wear the dress I have got for you."

I went to the closet and brought the gift I got for her.

"Here, please wear this. And now I have some work to do, so I'm going. I'll be back at dinner time."
I kissed her forehead before leaving.

I couldn't stay with her because she would make puppy faces and ask me many questions about the dinner date . I have to plan a surprise for her so I can't afford to fall for her tricks .

'Make sure all the preparations are as per my instructions. ' I texted Samuel.

'Everything is going smoothly, sir. You can have a look yourself. ' He texted back and attached some pictures.

'Perfect,' I responded .

'My plans to propose you got spoiled all the time, babe, this time I'm gonna make it up to you for all that.' I thought to myself .

I drove to the location to check everything on my own.

"Sam, you have done a good job. You deserve a pay raise." I said, and his face just lit up.

"That means a lot, Sir. You are so kind." He responded.

"What about the dishes I asked to be prepared? I want to taste the sample dishes first. I wanna make sure that everything is perfect tonight. "

He quickly responded to my question, " Chef had prepared the dishes for you to taste. Let me take you there."

He guided me to the table. Food was served.

"Why are you standing there? Come and join me. " I tolf him.

"No, I'm fine, sir." He shook his head.

"Oh, come on, Sam. Even if it's just a small portion just for tasting but still it's too much for me to finish on my own. And I have to leave space for dinner tonight. I don't want to waste food. So join me. And it would be better to get your review as well." I said.

Both of us sat and started tasting the food. We had a variety of dishes. Muffaletta Pasta Salad,Gruyere Mushroom & Caramelized Onion Bites,Sriracha Deviled Eggs, Pork Roast and Sauerkraut and Chicken Thighs with Creamy Bacon Mushroom Thyme Sauce. For dessert, there was a bananas foster and carrot cake .

"Umm, this bacon mushroom thyme sauce is so damn delicious." Sam commented.

"I agree . Chicken is also tender and juicy. " I said.

"Everything is so delicious, sir, I can't stop eating. " Sam laughed, and I joined him in that.

"Sam, I think banana foster is not up to mark. " I pointed out.

Then he also tasted it and said, "You are right, the flavor is not accurate. It's lacking something. I'll ask the chef to remove it. "

I nodded in response, and then we tasted some other dessert so that we could decide on a replacement for Banana Foster. I finalized Hazelnut pudding.

"So it's all set now. I'll go and get ready. Me and Evelyn will be here at sharp 8. So make sure to recheck everything again." I instructed him before leaving.

When I got back, Sana was there to help Evelyn get ready. So I chose to give them space and went to another room to get ready.

"Evelyn, are you ready?" I called from downstairs.

"Just a minute, baby." She replied.

When I looked up, she was walking down the stairs. Looking absolutely stunning in that black satin dress.
My eyes were ready to fall out of socket.

"If you are done drooling on me, then should we head for dinner?" She said in a teasing manner.

I kissed the back of her hand and held her close to me. I bent to whisper in her ear , " You are looking so gorgeous. You are so hot that I just wanna take you right here right now."

Her face turned red as tomato, " Let's go Seb. I'm excited to see what you have prepared for our dinner date." She was trying hard not to look into my eyes.

"And I'm excited to savor you as my dinner." I smirked, and she blushed even harder. She hid her face in my chest.

"Stop it, Seb." She said, and I chuckled.

"Why baby? Is it turning you on? Are you getting horny?" I teased her.

She was hitting my chest with her tiny fist. She is so cute.

"You are so bad. Stop making fun of me." She complained.

"Okay, my love. Let's go. Dinner is waiting. " I said and linked our arms together.

I opened the door to the passenger seat for her. Helped her fasten her seat belt before going to the driver's seat

"Let's go." She squealed excitedly

"Wait a min." I said, and she frowned

"What?"

I took out a blindfold and showed it to her.

"You need to wear this first."
