Chapter 75

Author's POV

  "Sign this paper." Tristan threw divorce papers in front of Evelyn.

  "What is it?" She frowned as she took the paper in her hands, and her eyes widened as she looked at the papers.

  "These are the divorce papers. Sign them, and along with it, you have to write a letter to Sebastien telling him that you don't want to be with him anymore. " Tristan said.

  "Why do you think I would do whatever you say?" She said angrily.

  "Because you don't want your twins to be hurt. Do you?" He arched a brow.

  "You can't do anything to my babies. Sebastien would never let you hurt them." She shouted at his face.

  "Well, that's your biggest mistake. You trust your husband's capabilities too much. But you are not aware of what my boss is capable of doing. We kidnapped your twins before as well. If it weren't for my boss to deliberately send the location, your husband could never reach there. Despite his security, we somehow managed to abduct you. Trust me, it's a cakewalk to harm your family ." He laughed, and it scared her.

  "Why can't you guys just leave me alone? Why is your boss so obscure with me? He thinks he can have me if he makes me forcefully divorced with Sebastien. He can never have me. Whether I am with Sebastien or not but I won't be with anyone else. " She cried out.

  "I don't have much time to waste. Your words are not gonna change my mind. Stop wasting your energy, and sign the damn papers. And about the letter, don't even try to be oversmart and leave any clue. I'll read it before sending it. " He warned her.

  She gulped and picked up the pen. Her hand was shaking as she took the pen to sign.

  'Don't worry, Bella, even if you sign these papers, you won't be divorced until he signs the papers. Sebastien will never sign the papers.' She tried to convince herself.

  She signed the papers, and tears were slipping down on her cheeks.

  'Please, Sebastien, never sign these papers.' She prayed.

  "Now take this paper and write a letter to him." Tristan handed her a paper.

  With teary eyes, she wrote that letter. She was hoping that Sebastien would not believe her words. He won't give up on their relationship .

  "I did as you said. From now onwards, you better not hurt my family. " She said.

  "Don't worry. As long as you won't create trouble for us, your family is safe. But if you try to outsmart us, then you will be responsible for whatever happens to your family. " Tristan said and walked out of the room with the letter and divorce papers.

  Evelyn fell on her knees and cried her eyes out. She was hoping for Sebastien to find her soon. She couldn't stand this drama anymore. She wants to be with her babies and husband.

  On the other hand, Tristan read the letter to make sure if there was any hidden clue. He cross checked a few times before ordering one of the guards to deliver this at Sebastien's place .

  Sebastien and others were sitting in the living room. Everyone was so worried as there was no update about Evelyn. All his friends and families were present there. As the bell rang, he immediately went to the door in the hope that maybe Evelyn would be back. He is totally broken since Evelyn went missing.

  He frowned when there was no one at the door. His eyes fell on an envelope at the doorstep. He picked up the envelope and closed the door.

  "Who was at the door, Sebastien?" Selena asked.

  "No one, mom. This envelope was lying at the doorstep. " He replied, looking at the envelope.

  "Open it quickly. Maybe there is some clue about Eve. " Ravenna said . As Sebastien was opening the envelope, everyone was looking at him with hopeful eyes.

  But the content inside the envelope breaks his heart into a million pieces. His heart was racing as his whole work shattered when he saw the divorce papers with Evelyn's signature on it.

  "What's wrong, Sebastien? Why are you looking so scared?" Selena asked as she walked near him. Her eyes also widened at the sight of papers.

  "Evelyn sent divorce papers. " Selena's throat dried as those words left her tongue.

  "How is that possible? You must be kidding. My daughter can never do that." Ravenna said. She took the envelope from Sebastien's hand. She couldn't believe her eyes . The envelope fell from her hands on the floor.

  "Is it true, Ravenna?" James asked, and she nodded. Everyone gasped.

  "How can Evelyn do that to you?" Liana said.

  "Maybe she was forced to do so." Sana said.

  "I think Sana is right. That fucker must have forced Evelyn to do that." Alex added.

  "Sebastien, why are you so quiet? Say something. " Lennon said. He was looking at his friend with worried eyes. He knew how much Evelyn meant to Sebastien.

  Sebastien fell on his knees. He couldn't form any word. He felt like someone was choking him to death. His eyes were fixed on the divorce papers lying on the floor.

  "For God's sake, Sebastien, say something. You are scaring me." Selena knelt down in frong of him.She couldn't bear to see him in pain.

  "Mom, she signed the divorce papers. " His voice cracked as tears fell from his eyes.

  "Everything is going to be alright, son. Evelyn loves you. She would never do that to you." Selena wiped his tears and pressed a kiss on his head. It was so hard for her to see her child in the devastated state.

"There is something else with the papers." Dylan said and picked up the letter which fell outside the envelope. He opened the folded paper and read it.

"It's a letter from Evelyn. " He said, and Sebastien quickly rushed towards him. He snatched the letter and started reading it.
