Chapter 83

Author's POV

  Arthur was crumbled in a corner with his hands and legs tied, and his whole body was covered with various scars. His clothes were smelling like blood. He has many fractured bones and few of his teeth broken.

  "Are you ready for the torture?" Liam's voice rang in his ears, and he was scared . The past few days have been so painful for him . Liam and Sebastien have been torturing him again and again. He was begging for death.

  "Just kill me already!" He cried.

  "Not that easy, Arthur. You must feel the pain that you have been giving to others. How you tried to hurt my sister, you made Julie's life hell, and you have destroyed hundreds of lives. Your parents are lucky that they died. Otherwise, today, they would have joined you here. Because of your family, my sister has to live the life of an orphan. " Liam said and gripped a handful of Arthur's hairs, dragging him to the middle of the room and threw him on a chair.

  Sebastien also joined him, "You shouldn't have all the fun by yourself, Liam. Let me help you." He chuckled.

  He pulled out a gun and eyed at Arthur's hands, " You tried to touch my wife with those filthy hands." He shot both his hands, and he screamed in pain.

  "You tortured Julie during her pregnancy because you couldn't keep it in your pants. " Liam said and took the gun from Sebastien. He shot Arthur in his crotch, which was so damn painful that he passed out while screaming. Even the guards outside the room flinched because of the intensity of his scream.

  They cleaned the blood from their hands. Sebastien called Mark inside the room, " Throw this garbage and arrange some scavengers." He referred to Arthur.

  Sebastien couldn't stand a site of him anymore. He wants this man dead now.

  "Don't let him die before that. When the eagles eat his flesh and he must be alive to feel that pain. He had thrown a lot of people in shark tanks, let him enjoy how it feels to be someone's prey." Sebastien said.

  Even Mark was shocked with his words, Sebastien had never been this brutal. But Arthur had crossed all the limits. He was such an inhumane devil. He didn't even care about his wife and unborn child.

  Julie was resting in her room when she heard some noises coming from the kitchen. When she entered the kitchen, she found Liam, who was struggling to cook something.

  "Liam, what are you doing?" She asked as she picked up a napkin to wipe off the flour from his cheek.

  "I was trying to make something for you." He grinned.

  "You don't have to. By the way, how did you get in?" She asked.

  "I took the spare key from Bella. I rang bell several times when you didn't open the door, so I used the spare key. I called your name, but you didn't respond. I thought you were out, so I was planning to cook something before you returned. " He explained.

  "You didn't check the bedroom? I was just taking a nap. Ever since I had this tiny being inside me, I became super lazy and a heavy sleeper." She giggled.

  "I already get inside your house without permission. Getting inside the bedroom without permission would have been a little too much ." He scratched his nape.

  "What have you prepared?" She asked curiously.

  "After a lot of struggle and failed attempts, I have finally managed to make pasta for you." He chuckled.

  "It's looking edible, I think I can take the risk to taste it." She teased and took a spoon full of pasta directly from the pan. Before she could eat, he held her hand.

  "It's hot, be careful. " He said and carefully blew on it.

"Now, you can have it." He said, and she took the bite. Her eyes widened as the flavors exploded in her mouth.

"Literally, I didn't expect it to be this good." She gave him a thumbs up.

"Glad you liked it." He said and served the pasta in plates. Both of them enjoyed it together.

"Why are you showing so much care toward me?" She asked curiously.

"This should have been your husband's responsibility. But as I have killed him, it's my responsibility to protect you and your baby." He explained, and she nodded in response . Julie might have believed her words, but he himself couldn't think of it that way.

'Am I really doing this just for the sake of responsibility?'

He questioned himself.
