Chapter 72

Author's POV

  When Sebastien got free from work, he checked his phone. He internally panicked when he saw the number of missed calls from Evelyn.

  He opened his phone and checked the texts she sent. News about Dylan's kidnap was shocking to him, but the last message terrified him.

  'Cruise '

  It was a code word between them. It indicates that the other person is in danger. Looking at the circumstances, they came up with the idea of having a code word for emergencies.

  He tried to call her but couldn't get connected. He called at home.

  "Dad, where is Evelyn?" Sebastien asked.

  "Son, we tried to reach you, but you were not picking . She went with Liana as Dylan was found injured. They rushed to the hospital. " Aron told him.

  "Shit! why did you let her go on her own." Sebastien said with disappointment.

  "I wanted to tag along, but she asked me to stay behind with twins for their safety. " Aron said.

  "Dad, Evelyn is in danger, and I can't even reach het at the moment. I am going to look for her. You better not leave mom and twins alone. I am having a bad feeling about it." Sebastien said.

  "Don't worry, I'll manage everything at home. Please bring my daughter safely." Aron said worriedly.

  Sebastien hung up on Aron. He called Mark and gave him insight into the situation. He also called his best friends Alex and Lennon to seek help.

  On the other hand, Evelyn was shocked by the betrayal. She would have never imagined that Liana would do such a thing to her.

  "Liana, how could you do this to me?" Evelyn asked.

  Liana looked at her with guilt.

  'I am sorry, Evelyn, I don't have any other option .' She thought to herself.

  "Oh, pleasure, stop the drama. You really thought I'm your friend. How can you be so dumb to trust a stranger? You are suffering because of your own foolishness ." Liana scoffed.

  Evelyn was about to speak, but Dylan put a cloth on her nose. It had chloroform, so she passed out.

  "Enough talks, darling. Let's take her to where she deserves to be." Dylan said to Liana, who glared at him angrily.

  "You will regret it." She said.

  "Never ever. But if you try to do something against the plan, then you will surely regret it." He warned.

  They reached their destination, and he took Evelyn in his arms and carried her to a dark room. Liana followed him closely. He placed her on the bed and instructed the maids to take good care of her.

  "Come to the bedroom now." He said, and Liana flinched at his words.

  "I'll stay with Evelyn and keep an eye on her." She said.

  "We have enough people to take care of her. You should be in my bed. That's where you belong, sweetheart. " He said huskily.

  Liana went to the room along with him.

  Tristan came to check on Evelyn's room. He saw that guards were doing a good job . And maids were preparing some food for her.

  "Did she wake up?" He asked.

  "No, she is still asleep. Should I wake her up?" She asked.

  "No need for that. Just take care of her like a delicate feather. She is very precious to the boss, so when he comes to see her, make sure to get her dressed properly. " Tristan instructed.

  "What if she throws tantrums?" She asked.

  "Even if she doesn't cooperate, none of you is allowed to lay a finger on her. Even a minor scratch on her body might cost your life." He threatened them coldly.
