Author's POV

"You know, Jessie refused to get adopted because she was waiting to meet you." Evelyn said.

"What?" Sebastien was shocked.

"Yeah, she was waiting for her uncle Seb to visit her." Evelyn said with teary eyes.

"And in all those years, I didn't even pay a single visit. " Sebastien felt guilty. Evelyn patted his shoulder.

"Seb, I have something in mind." Evelyn said.

"Yeah, go ahead and tell me." Sebastien said.

"You, I always observed how much you and Jessie adore each other. I used to see you guys together and use to wonder that you will treat our kids like that in the future. Now we have kids and family, but Jessie, she still long for the fatherly love she received from you." Evelyn spoke.

"What exactly are you suggesting?" Sebastien asked .

"Why don't we adopt Jessie?" Evelyn said, and Sebastien immediately hugged her . He was in tears.

"You know, I was thinking the same, but I was afraid to discuss this with you because you are always handling the twins. I thought you were not ready to take responsibility for another child." He said.

"Jessie is adorable, and she is not a troublemaker. And twins will get an older sister, too." Evelyn said.

"I'll talk to Aunt Stella and get the paperwork done." Sebastien said.

"How dare you? Did you really think that you could escape from me?" Arthur slapped Julie.

"Let me go. I don't want to stay with you anymore. You want Bella, then just leave me alone." Julie snarled.

"I see. You are becoming brave these days. You are talking back now. I'll teach yoy manners bitch." Arthur took out his belt and started hitting her. She held the belt and stopped him from hitting.

"Enough with your nonsense. Just get the hell out of my life asshole. I don't need you in my life anymore. You don't own me." She shouted.

"Just mind your words. Otherwise, I won't think twice before killing that baby." He pointed towards her womb.

"Okay, then kill the baby and kill me as well. I'm so done with this shit. It's better for my baby to die instead of living with a father like you. Kill me already asshole." She screamed on his face.

He slapped her so hard that she fell down and fainted.

"Call the doctor and get her checked. After that, tie her in the basement. If she escaped, then I'll kill you all." He lashed at the maids. Maids shivered in fear.

"Tristan, things are not going as planned because of Julie's rebellious behavior. She doesn't have fear of death anymore. Even threatening about the baby is not working anymore." Arthur said to Tristan.

"What do you want me to do about this boss?" Tristan asked.

"Find a source of feat for her. Something that we can use to manipulate her. She is the main pawn of my plan, so I have to keep her. Otherwise, I wouldn't have thought twice before killing her." Arthur said.

"Should I abduct her parents?" Tristan asked.

"Brilliant idea. You deserve a pay raise. Abduct them and torture them. " Arthur smirked.

"Let me go. I don't want to stay here. Do you hear me. Leave me." Julie was screaming from the basement.

"Stop shouting and making things hard for yourself, ma'am. You know master is so cruel. You are pregnant. Don't invite danger for the baby." One of the maid said with pleading eyes. They were all feeling bad for Julie. Being their mistress, Julie always treated them well. Now, seeing her being tortured was painful for them.

"My child doesn't deserve to live a life like this. Arthur has tortured me enough. He is treating me like a slave. I don't want my child to be treated the same way. I want to leave this hell." Julie cried.

"We want to help you, but we can't. Master will kill our whole family if we betray him. Please forgive us. We are helpless. " Maid said.

"You guys don't have to apologize. I know that the devil is forcing you to do all this. Don't worry, the Karma will hit him soon." Julie said.

"What will that karma do to me?" His deep voice echoed in the basement. It sent chills to the maids.

"Julie, my dear wife I have a surprise for you." He smirked.
