Chapter 71

Author's POV

  "Evelyn, I have to go to the office. There is some emergency. You stay at home. Don't go anywhere. " Sebastien said.

  "What happened, Seb?" Evelyn asked with a worried expression.

  "Don't worry, I'll handle everything." He pressed a kiss on her forehead and left for office.

  "I wish everything get sorted soon. He is going through a lot these days. " She mumbled.

  Evelyn decided to prepare something for lunch. As the twins were sleeping, she could cook without any disturbance .

  She started taking out the ingredients and worked on her dish.

  "What are you making, darling?" Selena asked as she entered the kitchen.

  "I am making lasagna. And some pesto shrimp skewers. " Evelyn told her.

  "I'll help you with the shrimps. " Selena said and started giving a hand to Evelyn.

  "I think the twins woke up, I'll go and check up on them." Evelyn said when she heard wailing sound.

  "Don't worry, Aron is with them. I am sure he will manage. " Selena said . Soon, the wailing sound was replaced by giggles .

  "See, I told you. That old man knows how to make his grandchildren happy. " Selena commented, and Evelyn chuckled at the word 'Old man'.

  When they were done with the cooking, Selena's went to call Aron for lunch.

  The doorbell rang, and Evelyn went to open it. Her eyes met with Liana, who was crying hysterically. She hugged Evelyn and kept on wailing.

  "Calm down. What happened?" Evelyn asked worriedly. She makes Liana get inside and settle on the sofa.

  "Why is your friend crying?" Aron asked as he and Selena came with the twins. Noticing the environment, Selena thought about taking the twins back to the room.

  "I don't know, dad. She has been crying but not telling anything. " Evelyn said. She handed a glass of water to Liana, which she gulped down in one go.

  "Liana, what happened to you. Please tell us otherwise we won't be able to help you." Aron said.

  "Dylan has been kidnapped." Liana sobbed harder.

  "What?" Both Aron and Evelyn asked in shock.

  "Yes, that Bastard Arthur kidnapped him." Liana said.

"Why that bitch have obsession of abducting people?" Evelyn cursed.

"He got to know that Dylan and I have been helping you guys, so he is coming back at us." Liana said.

"What should we do now? Did u call cops?" Aron asked.

"No, if I'll call the cops he will hurt Dylan. " Liana said.

"We can't just sit around like this. We have to take some action. I'll inform Sebastien. " Evelyn said and took out her phone to call Sebastien. He didn't pick up her call .

"He is not picking the call. He told me about some emergency in the office, he might be busy with that. I'll drop him a message. " She said.

'Seb, Dylan, has been kidnapped . Liana needs our help. Call back asap.' She texted.

Liana's phone started ringing. It was some unknown number. She picked up in the hope that she would get news about Dylan.

"Hello, who is this?" She said. After hearing the response on the other side, her eyes went wide.

"No, this can't be true ." She screamed.

"Who is it? What's wrong?" Evelyn asked.

"It was a call from the hospital . Dylan has been found unconscious in outskirts. Someone took him to the hospital. He is wounded badly. " Liana sobbed with her hand cupping her face.

"I'll drive you guys to the hospital. " Aron said.

"No, dad, you should stay at home with mom and twins. We can't leave them alone. I'll go with Liana and I'll call Sebastien as well." Evelyn said, and Aron nodded .

"Stay safe and keep us updated. " He said.

Evelyn and Liana rushed to her car.

"I'll drive. You are not in the right state of mind." Evelyn said.

"No, I'll drive. Don't worry about me." Liana hopped in the driver's seat.

Evelyn tried to call Sebastien but couldn't reach him. She had her eyes fixed on the road. She furrowed her brows when she noticed that they were going on the wrong way.

"I think you took the wrong turn. " Evelyn said to Liana. She couldn't shake the weird feeling as she saw Liana smirking.

"We are on the right path, Bella Lewis. " She froze as she heard Dylan's voice from the back seat.
