"See, babe, I got your favorite strawberry mousse." Sebestian said.

Evelyn covered her nose with her hand, "Keep it away from me. The smell of strawberries is making me sick."

Sebestian finds it weird. Evelyn loved strawberry mousse, and now she doesn't want it anymore.

"What happened, babe? Are you mad at me about something?" He asked while sitting beside her.

"No, I'm not mad at you." She said.

"Then why aren't you eating the mousse I bought for you. You loved it, right?" He said.

"No, I'm not mad at you. I don't like strawberry mousse anymore. I don't feel like eating it anymore. " She said.

"Are you not well? Should I take you to the doctor?" He said and placed his hand on her forehead to check the temperature.

"I am fine. Now stop annoying me." She shouted and went out of the room.

Sebestian was still shocked at her reaction. She got mad at him for no reason.

'Something is off. She doesn't seem well. Is she stressed about something?'

He also went out of the room behind her. She was sitting on the couch in the living room. When he went close, he noticed that she was sobbing. He panicked, looking at her.

"Babe, why are you crying? Tell me, are you stressed about something?" He asked and hugged her .

"I am sorry, I shouted on you without any reason. You must be hating me now? Are you going to divorce me?" She cried harder.

"Shhh, who is putting such thoughts in your head. Why would I leave my wife. I love you so much, baby." He kissed her forehead.

"You are not mad?" She asked.

"No, how can I stay mad at my cute wife." He said.

"I love you so much, hubby." She pecked his lips.

"Now, tell me, what's going on, baby? Are you stressed about something?"

"I don't know. I don't feel good these days, and I get frustrated easily. I throw up randomly. " She said.

"When did you have your periods last time?" He asked her.

"I missed my periods last month." Realization hitting her.

'Could I be pregnant?' She thought.

Sebestian connected the dots, "I think you should take a test. " He said.

"I have to buy pregnancy kit for that." She said.

"You stay here. I'll go and buy it for you quickly.
Sebestian was feeling excited about the thought of pregnancy.

'I wish she is pregnant. ' He thought.

"Which one should I buy?" He was confused looking at the pregnancy kits from different brands. He ended up buying one of each kind.

Evelyn was moving back and forth in the living room. She is feeling nervous.

"Babe, I got you these. Use all of them so that we can be more sure." He said and handed her around 10 test sticks.

"Seb, I'm nervous. " She said.

"Don't be nervous and quickly take the test. You have to pee on it." He said and rushed her inside the bathroom.

"Can I also come in with you?" He asked.

"No, I'll take the test and tell you." She said and shut the bathroom door.

His palms were sweating as he felt nervous, too.

'Please , please, please, god. I want a baby. Please make the result positive. ' He prayed with fingers crossed.

Each and every passing second seems like eternity to him. He was eagerly waiting for the door to open. His eyes were fixed on the door.

He saw the knob getting twisted, and he rushed towards the door quickly.

Looking at Evelyn's sad face, he also felt sad.

'I guess the result is negative. '

"Babe, it's ok. We just got married a month ago. We can still try again. Don't be upset. " He tried to lift her mood.

Tears started forming in her eyes, and she hugged him.

"Hubby, we are going to be parents. You are going to be a dad." She said, smiling through tears. Listening to her words, his eyes also became teary.

He quickly rushed inside the bathroom and saw 10 sticks showing positive results. He couldn't control his tears anymore.

He walked out of the bathroom and cupped her face, kissing all over her face. He lifted her up in his arms and spun around.

"I'm so so so happy, Bella. Thank you so much for giving me this happiness. I promise to become the best father to our baby." He said.

"Put me down now. Otherwise, my head will start spinning. " She said while laughing. He put her down and got on his knees. He kissed her belly.

"Baby, your dad is waiting for you eagerly. Come out soon and don't give a hard time to Mommy." He talked to her belly, and she giggled.

"I think we should go for a check-up soon." She said.

"Yes, you are right. I'll ask Samuel to book an appointment for you. And as you are pregnant now, you don't have to come back to work. I don't want you to stress out because of work. " He said.

"No, I'll get bored staying at home all the time." She said with a frown.

"But you have to rest." He said.

"I'm still in early pregnancy. I can do work. Do you think your wife is too fragile?" She said.

"I know you are strong, wifey. Okay, you can come to work but in one condition. " He said.

"What condition?" She asked.

"You will work for only 6 hours. No over time. You won't skip your meals due to work as you used to do sometimes. " He said.

"Okay, I'll take care of myself and baby. I won't overburden myself. Happy now?" She asked.

"Yes, happy. " He said.

"We should break the news to our parents and friends soon." She said.

"Yeah, let's prepare a surprise for them. " He said.

"Next week, it's your parent's anniversary, right?" She asked.

"Yes, this news will be the best gift for them." He said.

"I can imagine the precious look on their face when they will get the news."
