Kongpob curled on the floor is school bag pressed against his chest a broom handle landing blows against his back, head, and sides.

The attack started the moment he walked in. His Piyapon screaming at him for something he didn't do. Or maybe he did, he wasn't really sure. He had stayed at school till the library closed the night before, then slept at a 24-hour onsen, before going back to school. He didn't like coming home and tries to stay away as much as possible. And this was the very reason why.

"You're so worthless, you should have died with your mother." Piyapon spat throwing the broom handled down on the floor.

Kong flinched at the sound of the broom hitting the hard floor next to his head biting his lips as to not make a sound.

He learned a long time ago that he shouldn't make a single sound when getting beat, not even afterward. It would only make the beatings worse.

"Clean this the fuck up and get out of my sight." Piyapon sneered, giving Kongpob a kick to the stomach.

Kongpob bit his lip holding back a grunt as he curled into himself more.

He waiting and listened for Piyapon footsteps to fade away before getting up. He learned a long time ago along with not making a sound to never, ever move until Piyapon was out of sight.

It wasn't just Piyapon either, it was his father and Runrot his stepbrother too. Though his father didn't physically assault him, he verbally and emotionally did. Ever since he was seven his father had been emotionally absent, not caring about anything. At least when it came to him. Not since his mother dead anyways.

His mother passed away when he was just seven years old. They were volunteering in a shelter for omega's when a triatic accident happen. The roof was being replaced on the building, when a wire snapped on the crane pulling the new shingles to the room. His mother pushed him out of the way along with three other children as it fall directly on her. Killing her instantly.

His father had blamed him. Why wouldn't he? His fated mate, the woman he was meant to love forever was killed saving him. His father yelled at him, asking him why he wasn't more careful, why he was playing around that area. Not once did he ask if Kongpob was okay, not once did he checked to make sure his son wasn't hurt. No. he just put the blame on a seven-year-old.

During the funeral and the morning period, his father didn't speak to him once. Didn't hold him when he cried. Didn't try and comfort him. He just looked straight though as if he wasn't even there. For a seven-year-old, he didn't know what he had done wrong. Why his father didn't love or want him anymore.

Flashback

Kongpob huddled by his grandmother, tears falling down his eyes.

"Is it really my fault?" He asked his voice low, timed.

His grandmother, an old alpha, his mother, mother looked down at him, hand on his hair gentle. "It was never your fault my boy. Your mother did what she did to protect you. Just like any loving parent would."

"Do you...do you think she blames me? Por says it's my fault and mae would blame me."

His grandmother knelt down in front of him shaking her head. "No my little one. She would never blame you. She would hug you and tell you she loved her and beg you not to blame yourself."

Kongpob looked at her before wrapping his arms around her hugging her tight. That wasn't what his father had been saying, and he couldn't' help but feel it was all his fault.

His grandfather also an alpha, knelt down hugging both of them. Tears in his own eyes. A seven-year-old should never feel as if something like this was their fault.
