Our Sky Pt.1

Arthit rolled over annoyed as his alarm started going off. As one that loves his sleep, having to wake up this early was never fun for him. As he grabbed his phone shutting the alarm off, he smile slightly. Today would be the day that his boyfriend of three years scholarship announcement would be released. They would find out if Kongpob got into the school of his school in China.

Arthit rolled over his smile widening. It was rare, very rare that he was awake before his boyfriend. He didn't know how Kongpob did it. How Kongpob was an early riser all the time. No matter how late the younger man went to bed, he always managed to be up at the crack of dawn. Sometimes even before the sun rose. He always admired his lover for that.

Laying his head on his arm, he took a moment to look at his boyfriend. If Kongpob did get into the school he wanted, he would be leaving. He would be gone for two years, and Arthit didn't know how he felt about that. He would miss his boyfriend so much. It would be an adjustment he wasn't ready for. He had gotten use to falling asleep with Kongpob close by. To be woken up by him every morning. He was gotten spoiled by Kongpob. How was he going to survive two years?

Then there was the worry. Who would take care of Kongpob? His lover was excellent about taken care of other, but never himself. He always put himself last. Who would be there to remind him to eat? To sleep on time? What if he got sick? Who would be there to make sure he took his medicine? As mature and independent as Kongpob was, he was still a little baby. It still amazes him how Kongpob has gotten this far in life without destroying himself. Then again. He supposes his boyfriend parents always looked out for him.

Deciding to be mischievous. Arthit walked his fingers from Kongpob shoulders to his mouth, forcing a smile from the sleeping man laughing a little.

Not surprising Kongpob reached out, grabbing his hand gentle placing it on his chest.

"Wake up already." Arthit whined a softy.

Kongpob opened his eyes slightly looking at his cute boyfriend. "What time is it?" He asked closing his eyes once again. His voice was horse, full of sleep.

"It's a little past six."

"It's only six a.m.? Why did you wake up so early? Don't you normally wake up at seven?"

"Normally yes, but today your scholarship exam results will be announced. Don't you want to know if you got in?"

Kongpob looked at his boyfriend smiling slightly as he got comfortable in bed again. "The announcement will be at noon."

Arthit stared at his sleepy boyfriend wondering how he got so lucky. "I'm excited and so proud of you, so I can't wait to see the results."

Kongpob rolled over onto his side, still holding onto Arthit hand. He looked at his boyfriend now more awake then before. "I'm also excited, but worried too. You know I am not confident in my own work."

"You're kidding right?" Arthit asked laughing softly. How could his boyfriend not be confident in his own work? Kongpob was the top of his class, valedictorian. Graduating with top marks. He studied nonstop for this scholarship. Why would he not be confident of his own work? Arthit should be used to hearing that though. Over the last three years, Kongpob had put himself down over and over again. Saying his work was never good enough. He wasn't sure why his boyfriend would be pushing himself so hard.

Kongpob smiled as he wraps Arthit arm around his wraist, wrapping his round Arthit. "Thank you. Thank you for everything. Thank you for always being by myself while I studied. Thank you for taken care of me when I wasn't taken care of myself."

Arthit looked at the soft smile lined on his boyfriend lips. He thought back over the last three months. Kongpob took no time to relax after graduation. He jumped right into studying for his scholarship exam.
