(Past-1308, The golden age, Sukhothai Kingdom)

Anan-(Phi) (second prince)

Niran-(Tam) (physician, bearer)

"Anan, what if we get caught?" Niran asked his voice low, almost a whisper. They were walking hand in hand in the middle of the woods. It was already well past dusk, and they shouldn't be out this late. The countryside was riddled with war still even though King Mangrai had called for peace. Anan as his closest friend called him was the crown prince and was rarely alone. He always had someone with him. A guard am advisor, his older brother, hell even his wife was always around.

It wasn't often that they were able to be alone, inside or outside the palace. Niran was ecstatic when he received the letter from his lover, asking him to meet. It had been a week since they had been alone. Niran jumped at the chance, even if it met being outside in the woods in the middle of the night.

"My love." Anan called softly, squeezing Niran hand. "Please don't worry."

Niran looked at Anan, fear and love shinning in his eyes. The lantern and moon light making his eyes even brighter. The pure look of adoration on Niran face made Anan catch his breath.

"I love when you call me that." Niran whispered softly.

"Then I shall always call you that." Anan mumbled, squeezing his lover hand gentle.

They were on their way to a hunting cabin they had turned into their little get away. A place only for the two of them. If anyone stumbled across it, they would never know it was a lover get away. The cabin didn't have much. Two beds, a small pit for a fire to keep them warm if it got to chilly at night, and a place to cook. There were hooks in the corner to place the animals they killed to skin them and dry them out.

To anyone it looked like a normal hunters cabin, but for Anan, and Niran it was their little getaway. Under one of the beds, was a little hidden nook. It contain candles, change of clothes, and their lube they made themselves.

Anan was the prince, the second son. While Niran was just a physician. Their love was forbidden, and they had to do anything and everything they could to hid it. It wasn't their status that made their love forbidden. It was that they were two men. Man loving another man was a sin to Anan father, punishable by death. Even though Anan wasn't the crown prince he was still expected to wed and bear children. While Niran had to sit by and watch the love of his life with someone else.

A sound of a twig snapping had the lover stopping in their tracks. Anan pulled out his sword, pushing Niran behind him. He was ready to protect his lover at all cost.

Niran stood behind his lover, holding tight to this clothes. He didn't know how to fight but was willing to do anything to help Anan.

When a twig cracked again they swung around to see a rabbit looking at them. Anan still on guard, slowly backed them both up. Moving around in a circle. He didn't trust it.

"Anan...I'm scared." Niran whispered softly.

"Don't be." Anan whispered back just as softly, but Niran couldn't help it. He knew it was a bad idea to go to the cabin, even if he wanted the solitary with Anan. King Mangrai had called for peace, but villages were still fighting among themselves. The woods were dangerous during the day. At night it was so much worse.

"Anan..." Niran called out again, when no other sound was heard.

"I think we are okay." Anan mumbled letting his guard down a little. "We are almost there." He nodded toward the cabin that could be seen just a few feet away.

Niran let out a breath of relief as he rushed toward the cabin. He would not feel safe till he was inside its four walls. He didn't care that there wasn't much there, or that it was small. He just wanted to be away from the openness of the woods.
