I wasn't lying when I said I thought we would make great memories here in our new home surrounded by all of your friends. After we stepped in the house on our first day with everything set up it seemed right, it seemed like a home. It has been almost a month and I am still waiting for one good memory between me and jack. Stella she is doing great she rolled over for the first time jack wasn't here to see it. Moving here gave him a new life one I think he thought would be great for both of us, but it's not. Madeline is always at classes, during the day the boys are filming or doing something and at night jack usually wants to go out with them. It's not that I don't want him to have fun, it's just.. He's never home anymore always coming in drunk and noisy while I'm home all day with a four month old trying to be mommy of the year.
"Dorothy?" I called walking up the stairs with Stella in my arms once I heard the door open.
"Nope Cameron" I heard him yell down. Jack finally gave up on hating him, I mean there is nothing to hate we're friends.. Best friends always have been.
"Sorry I thought you were Dorothy.. Let me finish getting Stella ready, soon enough she will be here" I said as I walked over to get her diaper bag so I could change her so Dorothy wouldn't have too.
"Hello" I hear a sweet voice say as the door shut, and on que she was here. "There's my little Stella" she spoke picking her up causing her to laugh.
"Alright baby you have fun with grandma" that what we call Dorothy she is kinda a grandma to Stella. "I won't be gone long two hours tops"
"Take your time dear" she spoke kindly smiling. "And Cameron pull up your pants, people will think you a pimp" the room filled with laughter even Stella giggled and she doesn't even understand while Dorothy stood there clueless.
"Better" cam said pulling them up "now I ain't no pimp"
"Let's go idiot" I said grabbing his arm, I'm hungry and want food now.We got in the car and headed for Applebee's I know it's a generic place but me and Cameron come for lunch every week.
"So how are things" I knew he was hinting to me and jack and honestly things are terrible.
"He wasn't home till 4am this morning" I sighed looking out the window "it just bothers me you know? He acts like everything is fine between us when it's obviously not. I could care less what the other boys do and I get it were young but we have a kid to parent"
"I get it Kate I do. But you guys had Stella so young and everything happened kinda fast. Maybe he's just trying to act his age"
I huffed and laughed "when do I get to act my age?" I asked as we pulled into the parking lot, I got out and shut the door starting to walk by Cameron to the entrance "it's not that I don't love being Stella's mom but it would be nice to have a brake too"
"Table for two please" he said to the waitress. She grabbed two menus and we followed her to our table "but you were never the huge party goer" he spoke as we sat down.
"Thank you" I said to the waitress as she walked away "and I kinda was.. I mean I wasn't the girl to go out every weekend but once a month or so"
"What" Cameron gasped "why didn't I know this.. We dated for years"
"Yea but we only saw each other in the summer.. And at the time we were different, everything was church. It was a big secret of mine."
"Then we both had the same secret, but still it's shocking" he laughed.
"How do you think Stella was made?" I smiled cocking an eyebrow.
"Ew" he put his hands up "going back to the original topic.. Have you tried talking to jack"
Before I could answer our waiter came and took our orders. I got a water with a lemon and the strawberry vinaigrette salad, Cameron got a coke with a cheese burger and fries, obviously he goes all out.
"No" I sighed "we fought so much before we moved its not even worth to bring it up, I don't want to be fighting like that all the time"
"I get it... But your not happy" he said truthfully.
"Yea.. But he is" and that's the sad truth. I putting jack before I put myself. I guess that proves how much I do love him, I just wish he would do the same for me.
"Come to the party Friday night" Cameron said braking my thoughts.
"Huh?" I questioned.
"Kian and JC just moved into a new house. There having a house warming party. Dorothy can stay at the house and watch Stella while we have some fun"
"Kian and JC?" I asked I have never heard of them.
"You probably haven't met them yet but they are super chill, just come it will be a good time. And maybe it's what you and jack need a night out together"
I thought about what Cameron said and maybe he is right. Me and jack became us at a party and as crazy as it sounds maybe this is what we need to get back the what we once were. The only things is jack never invites me to these thugs it's as if he doesn't want me to go. He asked me to go to the first few when we moved down here but nothing ever sense.
"I don't know, I don't think jack likes me going.. He's never really asked me to go along with him before"
"Then we won't tell him" he smiled.
I think I know what I'm going to do. Ill get all dressed up look hotter then ever and surprise him, my boy loves surprise and I know he will love what I have in store.
