"Hell is empty. All the devils are here." - William Shakespeare

The bright beams of sunlight barely pierced the blackout curtains of Jax and Amelia's bedroom. She stirred though, her body used to getting up early to allow her some personal time before the baby woke for the day. Smiling as Jax's strong arms tightened around her, Amelia relaxed again and enjoyed the quiet time they finally had together.
"I was feeling pretty violent towards you just a few days ago."
"Now how do you feel?" She couldn't see him but Amelia could hear the smile in his voice. Sly and charming, as usual, and just imagining it made her heart skip a beat.
With an airy giggle she rolled over to face him. "Less stabby," she punctuated her answer with a kiss. When he kissed her, deeper with more passion than they had in weeks, Amelia moaned into his mouth.
"You're trying so hard Teller." She giggled as his hands moved over her body.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I want this to work," she ignored his advances but did not stop them. "Please Jackson, promise me."
Leaning up on his elbows he looked at her, eyes locked with hers and showing an immense amount of vulnerability and overflowing with love. "I promise you. Nothing comes before you or Ally, ever. No one will hurt you or come between us." He already knew her fears and quelled them quickly.
Amelia smiled and kissed him, pulling him back down on top of her with a confidence in their relationship she had been missing.
Miles away at the same time, Mae opened her eyes and curled up against Opie's body in her bed. His arm was around her as they slept but once she awoke she nestled herself even closer.
"You go back home today don't you?" She asked sleepily. It was awkward at first, they weren't a couple but there he was crashing in her gust room. A few days into the week he ended up in her bed but they still had yet to be intimate.
"Yeah," he groaned as he woke up. "I really appreciate you letting me stay here all week."
"I appreciate the human body pillow." She giggled. "You're welcome though, it's tough and weird. Gotta help however I can."
With ease, he pulled her on top of him. "You're good with this, not telling anyone?"
"There's nothing to tell, Ope." It was exciting when he did such sexual things, she felt her cheeks grow hot as he looked up at her. There was no expectations, he was simply building on the constant fooling around they enjoyed while giving her the space she needed.
"Yeah," he shrugged, "Guess not."
It was far from digging for a commitment, he knew she was hesitant, and for the time being he was content with their friendship.
"I'm meeting Donna tonight." She climbed off him. "Thought you should know."
"Jesus," he groaned. "You don't have to."
"I feel bad," she admitted. "She needs a friend."
Opie nodded as she slipped into the bathroom. He wasn't okay with it, he actually hated it, but there was nothing he could do.
"I'll come by later to grab my shit." He hollered as he dressed.
"Then I'll disappear into the shadows?" She asked as she poked her head out of the powder room to see him tying his boots.
"Yeah. It's...touchy."
"Trust me, I get it." She assured him even though she wasn't too keen on playing the other woman, even if Donna and Opie were done.
