CHAPTER 7: ESCAPE

  

Ang ganda naman dito! As in. It’s already 5:00 something am na at pasikat na ang araw. After nung pagkaladkad sa akin ni Austin away from the party, dito niya ako dinala. Isa itong hill tas overlooking sa city kaya kiatng-kita ang lahat ng buildings and pati na rin yung pagsikat ng araw.

You know, I actually have this gut feeling that I’ve been here before. Though, I can’t imagine knowing a place as gorgeous as this. And the sunrise is … breathtakingly amazing!

Nakaupo kami ngayon ni Austin sa hood ng kotse niya. In fact, dito nga rin ako sa hood nakatulog, while I’m in Austin’s arms. Waaaah! Romantic much! Isa kaya ito sa mga pangarap kong gawin! Nasa top ten nga to sa to-do list ko eh! Kaso kasi ayaw ni Cade sa ganito. Boring daw and pambabae lang.

Hmm, eh bakit kaya itong si Austin eh nagpunta sa ganitong lugar?

I poke his cheek and he turns to me while resting on his elbows. “Have you been here before?”

He smiles, pero alam kong hindi para sa akin yung ngiting iyon. It’s a smile for a memory he remembers, and now I wish I never looked at him and saw it. Because I can only feel jealousy towards that certain memory for making Austin smile that way. For making him smile the way I can’t make him do.

Gusto kong kalimutan yung kung paano siya ngumiti kanina nung may naalala siya, pero I can’t ‘cause that face of his while smiling that way is forever etched at my heart. The first time I see him smiling like he’s in love deeply, yet I’m not the girl in his memory. Heck, I don’t even know if that’s only a memory now … or if he still loves her.

Alam kong babae yung iniisip niya ‘cause I’ve seen the face of a person in love before. I saw how my brother smiled when he thought of the girl he loved. His smile is very similar with Austin’s. Sad yet still madly in love.
