Back & better than ever.

Katniss's POV:

"Prim!" I gasp. "Come on!" She stands shaken and confused.

"Katniss?" She whispers. "Oh my gosh Katniss!"

"Yes, let's go. We'll talk later." I urge her.

We open the door to the cell and get her out. I see the cell has a lot of blood stains. We run out of the building and don't stop until we reach the hovercraft. Everyone collapses onto the floor and is dead silent. We take off and all anybody hears is the heavy breathing of each person.

Then it hits me, I have Peeta and Prim back.

"Peeta!" I gasp. I crawl to him clinging like an animal. "Oh my god Peeta." I sob holding onto him tight.

"Katniss..." He sobs. "I've missed you so damn much.."

"I missed you so much." He looks down and I kiss him hard, trying to remember his features. I try and sit up in the kiss and he winces and lays back down. "What's wrong?" I ask frantically.

"M-my back. Look."

"Roll over." He slowly does and I lift his shirt. Just like Gale has, there's a million long lash marks. His back is bumpy and uneven, the whole thing is a dark purple color. "Oh my god Peeta.." I sob. "I'm so sorry. I'm so-"

I get pushed out of the way and see my baby sister Prim taking in his back. "I need gauze, and some kind of medicine. Look for a first aid box now. And water to clean it."

Everyone disperses and I look at prim sadly. "I missed you little duck."

I hug her so tight. "I missed you too Katniss." She yells for everyone to hurry and I chuckle a little. Gale comes back first and smiles sadly, I stand and hug him.

"Thank you for helping me get him back."

"Just don't ignore me this time Catnip." He sighs sadly.

"Never." We break when I hear Peeta moan in pain. I sit beside him holding his hand tight. "Just hang in there."

He looks at me likes it obvious and just smiles. "Always, Katniss." Without disrupting them I lay down next to him, and wait for prim to finish. I help her wrap him in gauze and then they lead him to the only bedroom. We lay down together and I think about wether I should ask him any questions.

I decide to ask. "Peeta, what did they do to you there?" I ask quietly.

"Don't worry about it Kat, it's over with, and we're back together and that's all that matters. Right?"

"I guess, but why won't you tell me?" I whisper.

"Because you have enough on your plate you shouldn't have to worry about me."

"I'll get the answer out of you somehow Peeta." I tease.

"Okay, I'll hold you to it. But for now let's just sleep." I nod and kiss him slowly, letting the passion flow between us. "I love you so much Peeta Mellark. Never forget that."

"I love you too Katniss Everdeen. Always."

And with that, I drift asleep. It's the firs time I've slept in months.

When we arrive everyone gives us warming smiles. I have Prim on one side of me, and Peeta joined to me by the hand. We should go see my mother.

"Let's go see my mom and Delly." I suggest and they both nod and agree.

We reach the compartment I used to share with my mother and prim. Prim walks in quickly running up and hugging my mother. I make Peeta sit down as we all talk, mom seems to be better. But only because Prim's back,  she'll have something to worry about now.
