The desert.

It was the next day when things finally started to happen. Blaine had joined the careers after they saw him kill a team of two at night. Tilly's still walking from the center, she's figured out the iodine pills and managed to catch some fish. She hasn't come in contact with anyone yet, and for her sake I hope she doesn't.

We turned the television on in our room so we could watch from bed. But we still go to the mentors screening room. Beetee's tributes are dead, probably because he told them to be smart and not fight. Most of the other mentors only have one more tribute alive, and we have two. It seems we make history every year with these games.

Tilly is still asleep in the tree when the ground starts to shake and sputter. She holds onto the tree after she wakes and watches the ground in awe.

The whole arena begins to change into something new. A desert, all the water is drained from the arena. Only certain trees are left and the arena is bare now. She starts her trek through the soft sand, it's hard to walk and she slips many times. She's out of water, visibly wearing out. "This isn't good." I whisper to Peeta. "The baby."

He nods and tells me to stay put, and when he comes back fifteen minuets later a parachute is falling towards Tilly. He sits down proudly but my breathing starts to get faster and shallower. "Peeta..." I whisper. "The parachutes... P-prim." I whimper. He pulls me close and sighs.

"Their good parachutes Katniss. I promise." I nod and he kisses me quickly. The parachute had a spiel in it, she smiles and rushes to the first tree she can find.

"I believe that is the deciduous fig tree." The voice of Caesar says. "A poisonous tree, that causes hallucinations if drank or eaten." I look at Peeta quickly.

He shakes his head. "It's a new kind, if it's poisonous a red dot will show up."

She sighs and leaves the tee. A cannon goes off, Haymitch's female tribute. He shakes his head and leaves with his tributes being dead.

Blaine is doing fine, he had gotten some cream for his leg and it fine.

It's the final ten. And Tilly is making her way to the the careers without knowing it. Blaine is the first to see her from the back, he jumps and veers the group to the left. She walks by with a sad look on her face, until one of them sees her. She climbs the tree fast like Rue used to do, and pulls out her small knife. "It looks like our games." He whispers into my hair. I nod and remember that sad day, the day I thought I was going to die. When I thought Peeta wanted to kill me.

They fail to climb the tree and the leader sneers. "She's small, won't make it to the end. Let her be." Blaine nods thankfully and they walk off without another word.

Tilly's POV;

I stay in the tree until I couldn't hear their footsteps in the sand anymore. Not that I could hear them the best anyways. Blaine, my love dropped his backpack for me not telling the careers he did it. His leg was bloody, but that was from the first day. I wish he'd come back to me and protect me, I'll need his help if I see someone who wants to fight me.

"Tributes, in honor of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark; two tributes may win if they are both from the same district. Thank you."

My head swivels thinking Blaine is already on his way back to me. But I was wrong, I stand alone in a desert within miles of people who want me dead.

I'm drained, emotionally and physically. My only wish is to make it as long as I can to keep my baby alive. I want us win, for the baby. So our child a life, even if it's not the ideal one.

Screaming erupts from nearby and just as I think in hallucinating; Blaine appears.  He's like an angel running towards me as he gushes blood from his forehead. "Come on!" He yells pulling me.

We run for an hour before I have to stop. He pulls into his arms lovingly. "How are you? Is the baby okay?" He asks into my nasty hair.

I nod. "Yes, I think she's fine. Has been kicking more and more. We're thirsty though."

"Here." He hands me water and I take a small gulp. "Drink more, we can find a more." He tells me and I nod. I look at him lovingly, without my permission tears begins to fall. "Hey, why are you crying.?" He whispers.

"I'm so happy to have you back." I whimper as he hugs me again. I look up and give him a small innocent kiss, should make the viewers go crazy.

A cannon exploding makes me jump. "It's the final eight, we should have a plan."

I nod.

**

We sit together on strong tree branch talking of a plan. "You can shoot right?" I nod. "Let's rush the center, grab you a bow. Wait for another announcement and then we'll each take a side and pick them off one by one."

"That's risky..." I whisper.

"We're in an arena to fight for our lives." He reminds me. "Everything here is risky."

"Okay." I finally say. "Let's go."

We munch on apples as we walk and when we finally reach the center the bow is there with two sleeves of arrows. I take them all and we climb to the top of the arena where we'll sit until something happens.

Katniss's POV;

It's been two strenuous days of watching our tributes on the cornucopia when they finally send the mutts in. They are tigers, the center is metal so they can't climb on it.

Cannons go off left and right before it's the finally four. Johanna's tributes against ours, she looks over and nods. This is a pride thing now. Our tribute jump down and take the other side. The female tribute tackles Tilly as the boys wrestle.

I'm so fixed on watching Blaine's fight I don't see what's happening with the girls. Tilly managed to kill the girl, but the girls knife lands directly above Tilly stomach. "No." I whisper silent tears falling down my face.

Blaine kills the boy tribute as two cannons go off for Johanna's tributes. "Damn!" She yells walking from the room.

Peeta and I are the only ones in the room now and I hide in his side.

"Tilly!" Blaine gasps placing her head in his lap. "Tilly please just hold on I-"

"Ladies and gentlemen, your victor of the seventy seventh hunger games." Caesar says.

"Tilly please!" He sobs.  "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you. Please stay with me."

"Blaine, we can't. You'll do great things, I love you."

"I love you too Tilly." He sobs, he kisses her stomach lovingly. My tears fall faster now as I watch.

"I love you Blaine, I'm sorry about the baby." Is the last thing she says before her cannon goes off.
