"So, when do you want the wedding?" I ask quietly as we lay in bed together. My hand rests on his like we did in the cave, his hand rubs small circles on my back as we cuddle.
"When do you want it to be?" He asks.
"Next month." I blurt. "I want it to be as soon as possible."
"Alright, well we can have it then." He nods looking down at me, I blink a few times before he kisses me. "I could do this forever, you know?" He just barely whispers.
"I could too." I agree kissing him again, an alarm beeping breaks our kiss. I stand quickly and run to the bathroom. I hurry to take two pills and then make my way back to Peeta.
"You alright?" He asks.
"Yeah, I'm good." I pull my hair behind my ear and then walk to Rye's nursery. I open the door quietly then make sure he's asleep.
When I'm sure he is I tread down the stairs and shortly after falling onto the couch I hear Peeta's strange footsteps coming down after me. The phone rings and he changes direction into the kitchen. "Hello?" I can barely hear him say. "Yeah, she's home. We should be home all night. Why?" I sit up straighter watching the kitchen doorway eagerly. "Yeah, come over. I'll have dinner ready at six. Sounds fine."
I hear him hang up and I stand to meet him halfway. "Is everything okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, just your mother, she uh- asked to come over for dinner?" He says with a hint of questioning in his voice. "I hope that's okay, she just wants to visit I believe."
"Yeah, I'm going to run to Haymitch's quick, mom likes red wine." He nods.
"Yeah, okay."
"I'm going to get changed quick." I say before walking up the stairs slowly not daring to be loud in fear of waking Rye. My plan seems to work until I hit the too stair and it creaks loudly. "Come baby." I coo as I open his door and lift him into my arms. "Peeta, make a bottle." I call down the stairs.
"Okay." He yells back. I bounce Rye until his crying stops and I lay him on our bed as I change. I pull on a black T-shirt and green cargo pants and my father's jacket, I wear it with everything. I should look into having it redone, it's going to fall apart one of these days. I lift Rye and take him downstairs before handing him to Peeta.
"Go to daddy." I smile handing him over. "Do you need anything from the store?" I ask.
"Yeah, I have a list." He smiles.
"Okay." I nod. He hands me a list. "What's a clove?" I ask.
"A spice, used to bake." He laughs sitting down and beginning to feed Rye.
"Okay, well I'm going to go." I bend down to kiss his lips lightly. "I love you."
"I love you too." He replies with a loving smile before I open and shut the door. I bound to Gale's house where I knock the door and he appears within a minuet.
"Hey." He sighs leaning against the door.
"Hi." I smile.
"What's up?" He asks.
"I was just wondering if you'd like to take a walk with me to the hob, I don't really want to go alone." I admit.
"Yeah sure, come in though. Give me a minuet to change:" He says and I just then realize he's without a shirt.
"Yeah."
"Cressida's on the couch." He says before walking up the steps.
"Cressida." I call.
