Snow will stop at nothing.

She finds me instantly, clinging to me. We race down the stairs me dragging her along.

"Where's Prim?" She yells. I turn and she's behind us with their mother. I push them ahead of me and we reach the large doors.

"Mom! Buttercup!" Prim screams.

"No! We can't go back, the doors are shutting in twenty seconds. Come on, he survived the bombing of twelve he'll be fine." Her mother screams.

We run in the doors staying with the flow of the crowd running. We find our way to the two beds we are assigned to, Katniss and I in one, her mother and Prim in one. We turn on the flashlight and I pull her into bed with me.

I hold her close as the bombs hit and shake the whole place. A big one hits and the roof made of thick stone and concrete cracks and she cuddles into my chest. "This isn't exactly how I wanted to spend our first hours as fiancées." I whisper into her chest.

"I can't believe you did that." She smiles.

"Why wouldn't i?"

"Because I'm not worth It, I'll just cause you pain." She says quietly. Another bomb hits hard.

"Katniss please, of course your worth it. If I didn't think so would we be here right now?"

"No.." She admits. "But I don't want you to marry me out of pity."

"Katniss stop, your breaking my heart making me listen to you talk badly about yourself."

"Just tell me you love me.." She asks.

"I do Katniss, I truly love you with all my being." She nods kissing me quick. "Try and get some sleep now."

Katniss's POV:

We laid in that bed for over thirteen hours, I made Peeta sleep. We'll try to, his medicines make it harder lately. And along with the bombs I doubt he'll sleep at all. He's just fallen asleep when I hear whimpering from Prim's bed. "What's wrong little duck?"

"Katniss this is all my fault." She replies crying harder.

"What? How?"

"When I was in the Capitol with Finnick, I played nice getting on their good side. He on the other hand was angry and mean, and sacred of course. But snow used to tell me things with confidence I wouldn't tell anyone because I wast escaping anytime soon. I knew they were planning to attack this place, I knew and I forgot. Because there was a power outrage in most districts which worried snow, he as worried an attack would catch them off guard. I had figured you all did it." I shake my head no. "Well anyways, the power went out, all the locks were opened and Finnick and I escaped. We were being chased but he got caught up in one of their traps. Quicksand. There was no way I could get him so he told me to to and find help, I ran all the way to eleven; where I got caught by the gang there. The people who took Peeta. I never should have left Finnick there..." She sobs into my arms.

"Shhh, it'll be okay. We'll talk to Haymitch after this is all done. But for now you need to sleep." She nods and lays down.

"Can you sing?"

"I remember the tears steaming down your face..when I said I'll never let you go....when all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said don't leave me here alone... But all that's dead and gone and pasted tonight... Come morning light.. You and i will be alright.."

When I finish she's asleep and I smile softly to myself. I stand and lay back down with Peeta just in time do another bomb. He smiles at me widely. "What?"

"That's the first time I've heard you since we were five."

"And...?" I smile.

"It was beautiful." I blush and kiss him slowly. I let this kiss be full of lust, passion, and hunger. I want him so badly, but I have to stick to my goal of remaining a virgin until I'm married.

He opens his mouth and kisses me back rolling his neck slightly as his hands roam my body. Another bomb hits and a chunk
of roof falls breaking our kiss. "I can't stay here, I need to go see what's happening." I say quietly.

"Katniss they aren't letting anybody out."

"But they'll let me out." He looks down to the ground saddened. "Just please stay here to watch my sister and mother? I know you'll keep them safe."

He nods and I kiss him before walking away. I feel a pair of hands on my thighs and I jump. "Kat!"

I look down to find Posey. "Hi posey, how are you!"

"I'm scared." She admits. I nod and see Hazelle, for the first time since we've been here.

"Hazelle.." I sigh and hug her tight. "I'm so glad your all safe, I meant to come see you I've just been so busy."

"It's alright hon, I understand. I heard your engaged though." She grins.

"As of three minuets before the bombing started yes. Where you there?" I can't help but smile.

"No, but I heard of it. Gale told me." I nod and my smile grows weaker.

"How is he?"

"Hurt right now, he won't admit it. But just give it time." I nod and stand. "Where you off to?"

"The command room, see what's happening"

"Alright. Goodbye." I smile and jog to the doors.

"I would like to go see Coin." I say to the guards.

"Right this way miss mockingjay." I keep a straight face as they lead me up the broken stairs and into a control room. Everyone looks up with tired eyes as Boggs quickly motions for me to sit.

"Wouldn't want to take a blast on your feet." I sit next to Haymitch and Plutarch who looks sick.

"How's everything down there?" I'm asked by Coin.

"People are confused and scared, but other than that fine. The roofs starting to cave in now. Big chunks fell down."

"Send some men down there, right after a hit."

"Have we taken any major damage?" I ask her.

"Only to our exposed launch- brace for impact." She interrupts herself. Everyone holds onto their chair and the bomb hits shaking everything. I sigh loudly as Plutarch runs his hands through his hair.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Oh just not used to this." He smiles weakly. I nod and stand.

"I'm going back down. I'll help with the roof damage once I'm down there." They all nod.

"Oh and Katniss." Coin starts. "Congrats on the engagement." I smile and run from the too.

Someday I might be Mrs. Mellark, I doubt it though. Snow wants me dead, and he'll stop at nothing to do so.
