We woke in each other's arms with our legs tangled together. I smile watching him sleep he's so peaceful, as if he doesn't have a care in the world. But in reality he's put himself in the most dangerous situation he could. Boggs shakes me not knowing I was awake, I sadly got up and walked into the shop with him.

"I am to tell you Good luck and be safe with regards from coin. A message from Haymitch was also received over night." I nod. "It seems to just say 'remember who the real enemy is'" it sends bad chills down my back and I nod yet again. "That's all solider, be up in an hour for a briefing and some sort of breakfast. Tigris still needs to disguise us."

"Alright." I turn making my way back to the basement. As I make my way to Peeta I can tell something's wrong with him. He's sitting and breathing heavily. When I get closer I can hear him crying. "Hey, what's wrong?" I ask quietly.

"Oh Katniss! I thought you'd left. Don't ever do that to me again.. Damn you.." He pulls me into a hug and his words remind me of the exact ones I said in our first games.

"Is okay Peeta." I reassure him.

"No, it's not. Just stay right by my side all the time."

"I will Peeta, I'm sorry. Boggs asked to speak with me quickly before everyone woke up and I didn't think i'd wake you."

"It's okay. Why don't you get some sleep, I've had too much already today I won't be falling back asleep."

"Will you just lay with me?" He nods shortly and lays back down folding me into his loving arms. "Peeta. I love you so much." I whisper.

"I love you too. And while everything's quiet I want to tell you, that all this is for you. I'm here for you, to support you with anything you do whether it be reckless or not. But just remember, your the girl on fire and you have more determination and will than anyone I've ever met. Don't loose that because of the dumb Capitol. We're so close to defeating them."

I nod and kiss him slowly. I break when I hear rustling and someone murmur to theirselves. I cuddle into his chest and hope it's not time to wake yet. The steps approach us and tap Peeta's upper arm. "Hey, can I talk to you for a minuet?"

"Yeah." He gets up leaving quickly. I sigh and groan, this isn't the time to be fighting over someone like me.

Peeta's POV;

I walk behind Gale up the stairs. He's so much taller than me, at least half a foot. I'm barely taller than Kaniss, but I am; we are basically eye level to each other.

Gale sits on a mattress in the back of the shop and looks over at me. "Has anyone talked to you yet about... Uhm..." He stops himself.

"About what?" I ask quietly.

"About doing whatever it takes to keep her alive?" He sprays the words.

"You mean killing people?" I ask.

"No, I mean sacrifice. I mean sacrificing yourself to let her live."

"No one has talked to me, but I always said I would if need be. She'll be broken but she'll still have you."

"She'll never love me." He says bitterly. "I knew it since your second games. I was a lost hope."

I sigh keeping silent. "How will she choose between us?"

"She's already chosen, but if she had to all over again; she'd choose whoever she couldn't live without." I nod. "But anyways, I know you may not like the idea of leaving her, but it's for the rebellion. This is a huge cause-"

"Yeah, I understand. I'll do it for her, but only for her. No one else." He shakes my hand with half a smile.

"Thank you man." I stand slowly since my prosthetic still slows me down a bit. "You better get that fixed pretty soon. Wouldn't want you get into caught behind us."

I shake my head. "I won't."

"Okay, go back to her. Sleep well."

I nod and dot hesitate to hurry back down to her. She's still awake, she tries to ask questions but I tell her it has nothing to do with her. Which is a complete lie, but she can't know. She can't know about our plans to sacrifice our lives to save her if need be.

I smile as she buries into my chest for the final time in this tiny house. My stomach growls and I'm starving, but right now there's no place I'd rather be.

I can't believe someone like me would actually get the woman of their dreams. All of the torture I went through as a kid over her seems to be forgotten. I don't think of how everyone except my father would beat me and drive me mentally and physically mad. I forget all the times my mom called my dumb, insane for having such feelings for a girl who didn't know I existed. I told them I'd show them one day, show them that one day I'd prove them wrong. And now, I have that very girl, who five years ago didn't know I existed. Now I have that very girl my parents told me if never have. I proved them wrong, but I was too late. Because now we're to die, and my parents are already dead.

Katniss's POV;

We wake again but this time it's by myself, not someone else waking me. Tigris is setting up a small spot in the corner to our disguises, she has various paints and other types of clothes laid out. I dread this part, but everyone's already awake so I decide it's time for Peeta to wake up. I shake him lightly kissing his lips as I do. "Hey, wake up. It's time to get ready." He mumbles something but sits up groggily.

"Who would like to go first.?" Tigris asks. Each time she makes an 's' sound it sounds like she's hissing.

"Katniss will go first, she needs to be unrecognizable." She nods patting the chair motioning for me to sit. I do slowly and she stands back.

"How would you like me to make you a mockingjay?"

"-too obvious-" Gale cuts in.

"Just make her a regular Capitol citizen." I hear Boggs explain.

"Taking all the fun out of this." She frowns.

"We only have a couple hours." She shakes her head and gets to work. I hate when people out makeup on me. I feel so fake, like I'm lying to everyone, especially Peeta.

When I'm done, my face feels heavy and gross, they start to work on Peeta. Which is absolutely the funniest thing I've ever. He reacts to every single thing she does to his face, he has a comment or makes a face each time. I can't help but laugh every time, over time he starts to laugh too. Only because it's me laughing and not someone else.

She's halfway through Gales transformation when there's a knock on the door. Boggs rushes up to look through the window, when he comes back he looks more scared than I've ever seen him. "What's out there?" I stand letting go of Peeta's hand.

"Peacekeepers."
