Who else had to learn that awful poem in elementary school? While I think that Columbus Day is a joke, I do take Columbus Day weekend very seriously. Why? The parties of course! What better way to celebrate a day that commemorates a man that slaughtered tens of thousands of people than by getting ridiculously drunk? There IS no better way! So, what's going to leave us all completely inebriated this weekend?? Let me tell you:

Tonight: While there will be more parties going on tonight, I will only tell you about the one that EVERYONE will be trying to get into. Two of our favorite basketball players, Deen and Chino are throwing a house party at their on-campus apartment to start the weekend off! As usual, basketball parties are only open to upperclassmen, so if you are a lowerclassman you could try your luck at sneaking in, or you could just go to another party...

Saturday: Tau Sigma Kappa is throwing their first party of the year at their fraternity house. Both upper and lowerclassmen are welcome to attend.

Sunday: SHOCKTOBERFEST! The tailgate that brings everyone together! Make sure to grab your costumes sometime before Sunday, or get some Halloween themed colored clothing and hurry over to the on-campus rugby apartments to get your spook on! Shocktoberfest is open to both upper and lowerclassmen.

Monday: Did someone say free drinks?! Everybody's favorite (only) bar in town, Big Bang Bar, is throwing a pre Halloween themed party! Free drinks from 10-12am! Obviously, this is for those who are 21 and over, but I know you lowerclassmen will try to get in with your fakes. Good luck and don't get caught! Costumes are optional.

It's looking to be a pretty booze filled weekend and my spies and I hope to see you all completely drunk and making asses of yourself, because that is what we thrive on. Who hasn't gotten their costume for Shocktoberfest yet?! Me! I will be returning home tonight to grab some of my winter clothing (and my costume), which means that I will be missing the basketball party, but my spies will be there so, don't think you're off the hook. I will be returning Saturday night, just in time for Shocktoberfest the following day! You'd all be crazy to miss it! Anyway, have a good Friday everyone and stay warm!

P.s.- While I'm sleeping on the train on my way home, you all better be on your best behavior, because TKYT is always watching ;)

Before fully coming to, Nicki could feel a large hand moving soothingly over her back. She also felt warm and comfy under Meek's sheets, on top of his body, and in his arms. As Nicki opened her eyes, she remembered Meek telling her about his basketball dreams before she fell asleep. She recalled his dreams to make it into the NBA and hopefully play for the Philadelphia 76ers to represent his city. While he was speaking, Nicki remained mostly silent, only commenting here and there, but the conversation made Nicki think about where they'd all be after they graduated. She knew that she, Sherika, and Thembi would remain best friends like they have been since the age of three, but Nicki wondered whether she and Meek would still be close. If he did join the NBA, which he very well could, he would have to travel a lot and he'd always have random women around him. Nicki frowned at the thought of losing touch with Meek and losing the connection that they had as she squeezed the large hand that she was holding.
