Chapter 33

Alice's P.O.V

Helen, Mary and I got back to the farm and we started walking back to the house.

"So are you going to tell Paul?" Helen asked

"Of coarse" I said. When we got closer to the house, Ethel and Julian ran out.

"Mommy!" Ethel said

"Hi honey. Julian, what are you doing here?" I asked

"Uncle Paul invited us" Julian said

"Us?" I asked

"Come inside mommy!" Ethel said. Her and Julian ran back inside. We followed them inside. When, we got inside, the house seemed empty. There was no presence of Paul or the children. I turned to face Helen.

"What the hell? So somehow Julian is here, the kids run outside to greet us, we come inside and there's no one even in here. Basically Paul left the children alone and now they disappeared! Is this a dream Helen!?" I asked.

"Well it's not like they got abducted by aliens" Helen said. When I turned around, that's when everyone popped out of hiding.

"SURPRISE!" everyone said. I smiled when I saw all my friends.

"See? I knew nobody was abducted by aliens" Helen said. Laura walked up to me.

"Aliens?" she questioned

"Well I couldn't see anybody and then Helen started putting nonsense in my head" I said

"Who knows? Maybe we were abducted by aliens and we're all just clones" Laura said. I smiled and trapped her in a hug.

"Maybe just you Laura. What is everyone doing here?" I asked.

"Paul invited us all to come out for your birthday" Linda piped in. I found my husband and walked up to him.

"Is this why you wanted me gone for a few hours?" I asked

"That's right darling" Paul said. I gave him a kiss and embraced him in a hug.

"Thanks" I said

"Anything for you" Paul said

Apparently Paul had another surprise for me. He had his hands over my eyes as he was trying to carefully lead to me to it.

"Can I please open my eyes? I don't want to bump into anything or trip over anything?" I said

"Do you not trust me?" Paul said

"Of coarse I do but I trust my eyes more" I said

"I should feel offended but I'm not only because I love you so much" Paul said. We then came to a stop.

"What's going on?" I asked. To answer my question, Paul uncovered my eyes. We were at the lake. Paul had set it up like a camp site.

"Paul! I love this!" I said

"I knew you would. I figure since all of our friends are here that we could all have a camp out" Paul said

"A camping party? I love it" I said. I turned around to face him and pressed his lips to mine. When we pulled away, we let out foreheads rest against each other.

"Paul?" I said

"Yes, love?" Paul said

"I've been thinking about acting again" I said

"I think that's great" Paul said, with an unsure tone.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Love, it's great that you want to start acting again but I was thinking about starting our band after the baby is born. I really want you to be in it. If you aren't then I'd be touring and you'd be filming so we'd never get time with each other. Who'd be with the kids? Surely, Helen wouldn't want to be stuck with them all the time, no matter how much she adores them" Paul said

"I'll still be in the band Paul. When we're not touring, I'll be filming and I'd bring you, the kids and Helen with me. When I'm not filming, I'll be touring with you. We'd bring Helen and the kids with us. If filming and touring overlap with each other, I'd pick touring with you over any movie" I said. Paul smiled and kissed me.

"That sounds fair to me. On one condition" Paul said

"What would that be?" I asked

"If you have to kiss anyone on set, whether it's a quick peck or passionate kiss, I have to be on set at all times" Paul said

"That sounds fair" I said

"And no 'intimate' love scenes, if you know what mean" Paul said

"Deal" I said

"Kiss on it?" Paul said. I pressed my lips on his, for probably the fifth time that night.

Everyone was seated around the campfire. Well, not everyone. Helen went with all the kids to the shore of the lake to hunt for treasure, and I mean all the kids. Like fourteen of them. The overgrown child also went with them.

"Are you sure Helen can handle all the kids?" Cynthia asked

"Yeah. Laura is there too" I said

"Do you think Helen can also handle Laura?" Pattie asked

"Hopefully. Laura just better not hurt herself. She may be my sister but I am not kissing away any bruises or cuts she gets" I said

"It's hard to believe you two are sisters. I mean you're so mature and she's so...not" Maude said

"But you got to admit, the kids love her" Maureen said

"Maybe it's because she acts like one" Jane said

"Should we really be talking like that about her behind her back?" Carrie asked. All the girls looked to me. I just shrugged.

"She talks like that about herself when she's with me. She brags about it honestly. I mean she's thirty three, yet she's still so full of youth. I envy her honestly" I said. Linda walked over to us with a tray of hot chocolate.

"Joseph and I finally finished with all the hot chocolate. I think we had to boil water like three times" Linda said.

"Where is Joseph?" I asked

"Giving hot chocolate to the boys" Linda said

"Thanks Linda" I said. We all grabbed a cup of hot chocolate. Even though I had a blanket wrapped around me and a cup of warm hot chocolate in my hands, I still felt cold.

"Girls, I think I'm going to go inside my tent. I'm still cold" I said. I stood up and walked over mine and Paul's tent. I turned on the lantern that was placed inside and sat down, with the blanket wrapped around me and sipped on my hot chocolate.

"Mind if I join you, love?" Paul said as he entered the tent

"Not at all" I said. He sat beside me. I wrapped the blanket around both of us.

"Are you okay? I saw you going to the tent so I thought something was wrong?" Paul said

"I was just getting cold so I needed to warm up" I said. Paul looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"I know exactly how to warm you up, love" Paul said in a seductive voice

"Warm me up then Paulie" I said. He attached his lips to mine. He made sure that I stayed warm all night long, if you know what I mean.
