It was only three hours until Oscar time and I was getting ready. I was also helping Ethel get ready.
"You're going to win mommy" Ethel said
"Thanks sweetie, but we don't know that for sure" I said
"I do. You deserve an Oscar" Ethel said.
"Alright. Your dress is fixed in the back. Turn so I can see you" I said. She did was I asked.

"Aww, my baby looks so pretty" I said, bringing her into a smothering hug.
"Mommy, you're squishing me!" Ethel said.
"Sorry, sweetie" I said, letting go of her. Ethel's attention turned to Paul when he walked in the room.
"My little girl looks beautiful!" Paul said. Ethel smiled and ran over to hug him. Paul gave her an almost bone crushing hug in return.
"So you'll let daddy squish you but not mommy?" I asked
"That's because I'm her favourite" Paul teased. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Ethel, can you go check up on your sisters for me?" Paul asked.
"Okay daddy!" Ethel said. She let of Paul and ran out of the room.
"I guess we know who she'll want to sit beside tonight" I said, walking towards Paul. He smiled and grabbed my hands, giving both a gentle kiss.
"You look absolutely gorgeous" Paul said. I smiled and blushed, looking down at my gold dress.

"Thanks. You look very handsome yourself" I said. Paul placed his fingers under my chin and tilted my head up so I was looking at him.
"I still can't believe I ended up with such a perfect and beautiful wife" he placed his hand on my cheek and gently stroked it with his thumb. "I love you so much. I really, really love you"
