Chapter 139

Alice's P.O.V

April 21, 1975

Angels' third album was released today so the girls and I decided to kick off our tour today. We decided to tour across Europe. For the tour, our husbands were coming with us, with the exception of Joseph, and Ethan was going to tag along since he managed us. Dad, Mabel and Joseph all agreed to watch the kids. Linda was having a hard time saying goodbye.

"You know I don't want to leave you" Linda said, her hands in Joseph's.

"I know Lovely Linda. It's not like you haven't been without me before since we got married" Joseph said

"I know, but not for three months" Linda said. Joseph sighed and cupped her cheeks.

"Lin, look at me. You'll be fine without me for three months. Just promise that you'll call me everyday" Joseph said

"I promise" Linda leaned in and pressed a kiss to Joseph's lips.

"I don't mean to ruin a beautiful moment, but the others are waiting for us. Our flight to Paris leaves in an hour" I said.

"Right. I love you Joseph" Linda said

"I love you too Linda" Joseph said. Linda grabbed her bags and went out to the car.

"Promise you'll take care of her for me, Alice" Joseph said.

"I will, I promise. Promise to try to come to our London show? I know it would mean the world to Linda" I said

"I'll be there. Don't tell Linda though. I want her to be surprised" Joseph said.

"My lips are sealed" I said. Joseph hugged me.

"Good luck" he said.

"Thanks" I said. When he let go, I made my way out to the car.

During our flight, I could sense Linda's sadness. Ever since their marriage, they have never been away from each other for long periods of time. I think the longest time they've been away from each other is a month. Paul, who was sitting on the opposite side of me, wrapped his hand around mine.

"Is Linda alright?" he asked.

"She's upset about not seeing Joseph for three months, maybe more" I said. Linda looked away from the window to look at Paul and I.

"Alice, how did you and Paul handle being away from each other for six months?" she asked

"It was hard" I said

"But we managed to get through it. I always made sure to call" Paul said

"Lin, these months will go by fast, and soon you'll be with Joseph and the kids again" I said

"I think I'm going to need a lot of comforting from you two" Linda said.

As soon as we landed in Paris, we went straight to our hotel. Paul and I agreed to let Linda room with us. Us girls had a few minutes before we had to go for a rehearsal.

"Thanks for letting me room with you two" Linda said.

"It's no problem Lin" I said

"Besides, with all the comforting you'll need from us, it works out well" Paul said

"Linda, does Joseph know about our way of comforting you?" I asked.
