Chapter 94

Alice's P.O.V

June 25, 1973

It was the night of the premiere. We had an hour before the limo would come to pick us up. I had finished getting ready and now I was just staring at myself in the mirror. I noticed Paul come out of the bathroom.

"Love, you look gorgeous as you always do" Paul said

"Thanks" I said. Paul walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"Are you sure about tonight? No one would blame you if you didn't want to go. Guy would understand" Paul said

"No, no. I want to go. I'm not going to let Roger ruin my night" I said

"That's my girl" Paul said, kissing my cheek.

"Promise me you won't leave me alone with him" I said

"Love, I'm not leaving your side for even one minute" Paul said

Thankfully, Guy arranged for separate limos to pick us all up that way we wouldn't be stuck in the same one as Roger. Roger and Luisa were in one limo while Paul, Thomas, Ethan, Francie, Guy and I were in one.

"Alice, I'll make sure to keep an eye on Roger for the actual premiere but for the after party, it's your responsibility to make sure he behaves" Guy said

"Where will you be?" I asked

"Thomas and I have some business to attend to. Don't worry though, Ethan and Francie will be there" Guy said. Ethan and Francie both gave me a smile.

"You can count on us" Ethan said

"We'll make sure he keeps his distance" Francie said

"Of coarse, it's your decision whether you want to go or not" Thomas said. I looked to Paul. He gave me a reassuring smile.

"I'll go" I said. Paul gave my hand that he was holding a gentle squeeze.

"I promise, I'm never leaving your side" he said.

We finally got to the premiere. It was packed with fans, reporters and paparazzi.

"Alright. Alice and Paul, you wait here. I have to have a word with Roger. I'll come and get you when I'm finished with him" Guy said. He exited the limo.

"Alright you two. Let's give Alice and Paul some privacy. I'm sure they need to talk" Thomas said to Ethan and Francie. They both nodded and left the limo along with Thomas.

"Tonight's going to be fine, love. Just keep your distance from Roger" Paul said.

"What if the press wants to speak to both of us?" I said

"I'll stay with you. Nothing is going to make me leave your side" Paul said. He leaned in and gave me a kiss. The doors opened and Guy popped his head in.

"Alright. You two can come on out now" Guy said. Paul and I held each other's hands and stepped out of the limo. We were greeted by loud screaming and flashing lights.
