Alice's P.O.V

November 17, 1970

Dad was finally up on his feet. He still has a bit of pains and aches but they weren't nothing that some pain medications couldn't take out. He decided to take Mabel, Helen and the kids out for dinner. He asked Paul and I if we wanted to join but we declined. Paul and I wanted a night all to ourselves. I was helping dad with his tie.

"Honey, I know how to tie a tie" dad said

"I know. I still like helping my dad though. Is it a crime?" I asked

"Of coarse not" dad said. Once I tightened his tie, dad grabbed my hand and looked at my wedding ring. He smiled at it.

"I'm glad you married Paul. He loves you a lot. Whenever we talk and you're brought up, his eyes light up and he can't help but smile. Then he goes on and goes on about you" dad said. I couldn't help but smile and blush.

"See, then when I talk about Paul, you do the exact same thing" dad said

"Of coarse I do. Paul is the most amazing guy I've ever met. He's sweet, he's funny, he's talented, he's gorgeous and he's an amazing father and husband. He's very faithful. Did you know that he hasn't been with a single woman since he met me?" I said

"I wish the same  could have been said for Joseph" dad said

"With Joseph, I think he was trying to fill a void for not having Linda. He's loved her for so long. I believe he didn't really love me, I was just a way so he could get over her. I wasn't enough so he started his affair with Jane but not even she was enough. Now that Linda is back in his life, he's finally happy" I said

"As much I love talking with you, I promised dinner for my wife, grandchildren and their lovely nanny" dad said.

When everyone left, Paul told me to go wait upstairs. I waited until Paul called for me. When I went into the living room, the lights were dimmed down with candle light. I smiled to myself. I love when Paul did this kind of stuff for me. Paul came up to me with a rose in his hand.

"I love when you do things like this for me" I said, taking the rose from him.

"I figured since we haven't time alone in a while, I'd make it special" Paul said. I wrapped my arms around his neck and played with the hair at the nape of his neck.

"I'm so lucky to be your wife. You could have had any woman in the world and you chose me" I said

"You're not just a woman. You're an angel sent down from heaven. You were made just for me" Paul said. He leaned in close to me and made it so our noses were touching.

"You'll never how much I really love you. I tell you I love you everyday but words will never be enough to express how much I love you. Sometimes I feel my actions aren't enough either" Paul said

"Paul, I know exactly how much you love me. You've proven how much you've loved me throughout the seven years we've been together" I said

"You know very well that we're going to be together for seventy more" Paul said. With that, he kissed me very passionately. He picked me up and carried me over to the couch. He very gently laid me down and got on top, never letting the kiss stop. The phone then started to ring.

"Paul" I mumbled against his lips. He pulled away momentarily.

"Ignore it. The phone isn't married to you, I am" Paul said. He started kissing me again. I tried to ignore the ringing of the phone but I just couldn't. I had to push Paul off of me to answer the phone.

"Hello? Really? She did? Yeah, we'll be there right away" I said. I hung up the phone and Paul attacked my neck with kisses.

"Paul" I said

"Baby, let me kiss you. Let me kiss your beautiful neck" Paul said. He continued kissing my neck.

"Paul, that was the hospital. Maureen just had her baby and she wants us there" I said. Paul pulled away from me.

"Alright. Let's go, but when we get back, we're finishing what we started" Paul said

"Whatever pleases you Paul" I said

When we got to the hospital, we were brought up to Maureen's room. There, she was laying in her bed carrying her newborn baby girl.

"Mo?" I said. She looked up at us and smiled.

"Hi Alice, hi Paul. Meet Lee" Maureen said.

"Mo, I got you some water like you asked" a familiar voice said. Paul and I turned around to see Ringo.

"Oh, hi you two" Ringo said.

"Hi Ringo" I said. He and Paul awkwardly looked away from each other. This was the first time they were seeing each other since the breakup.

"It's...uh...been awhile" Paul said

"Yeah. Eight months" Ringo said. It was silent again.

"Love, I'm going to go outside for a smoke" Paul said. I nodded. He left the room. Ringo and I sat beside each other on the chairs that were beside Maureen's bed.

"So Alice, how have you and Paul been? How are the kids?" Ringo asked

"We're all doing fine" I said

"That's good" Ringo said. Maureen just awkwardly stared at us while Ringo and I had a very awkward conversation.

"Do you still see George and John?" I asked

"We still see George and Pattie. John, not so much. What about you two?" Ringo said

"Paul hasn't spoken to either since the break up" I said.

"We missed you both, didn't we Ringo?" Maureen asked. Ringo grew a smile.

"We did. I'm actually glad that the both of you are here" Ringo said. Paul then canes back into the room. He and Ringo looked at each other again. Paul ran his fingers through his hair before speaking.

"It really is good to see you again Ringo" Paul said

"You too Paul. I missed you" Ringo said

"I missed you too" I said. The two smiled at each other. I was happy that Paul and Ringo got to see each other again. Then I began to wonder how happy Paul would be if he saw George and John again.
