Alice's P.O.V
January 21, 1976
It was early in the next day when I decided to go and see Linda. Since Ethel was up as well, she wanted to come see her as well. When I approached her door, I knocked. Not even a second later, Linda answered.
"Hi girls. Please, come in" she said. We followed her inside.
"Ethel, are you hungry?" Linda asked.
"I'm starving" Ethel replied.
"I think I saw some breakfast somewhere. I'll make both of you something to eat" Linda said

Linda found some pancake mix so that's what we had for breakfast. Ethel was eating at the table, munching away. Linda and I sat on the couch, watching her while we drank some tea.
"It's hard to believe she's twelve" Linda said
"I know. Next year she's going to be thirteen. A teenager for crying out loud" I said
"A beautiful teenager, too. You better watch out for boys flirting with her" Linda said
"I don't mind if boys flirt with her, as long as they don't cross the line. Paul on the other hand, wouldn't approve as much" I said
"Didn't you two catch Ethel and Julian kissing?" Linda asked. I giggled, remembering that day.
"Yeah. I thought it was the cutest thing. You can imagine how Paul reacted" I said
"Well, she is his little girl. His first little girl" Linda said
"I know, but he's got two other little girls to worry about. Maybe even another one" I said, placing my hand on my stomach.
"Or maybe this time you two will have a son" Linda said.
"I'm hoping. I know Paul wants one" I said. Soon, Ethel finished eating and she came over to join us. She sat beside me and put her head on my shoulder.
"Your show is tonight, right?" Ethel asked
"Yes" I said.
"Is Helen going to be there?" Ethel asked
"She will, yes" I said.
"Can I hang out with her?" Ethel asked.
"Of coarse. She misses you" I said
"I miss her too. I miss her living with us, but she's happy with Uncle Denny" Ethel said
"Yes, she is" I said

Ethel insisted on staying with Linda, do she did while I went back to the hotel room. When I got there, Paul was still in bed. I tried to quietly creep past him.
"Love, I know you're there" he said.
"Did you hear me?" I asked.
"No. I'm just so in love with you I always know if you're nearby. Now, come cuddle with me" Paul said. I couldn't deny his request, so I joined him on the bed. I laid down so that I was facing him. His eyes were still closed but he was smiling.
"What are you smiling for?" I asked
"Just that you're with me" Paul said. His eyes opened and I saw them twinkle with love and adoration. He gently caressed my cheek.
"You know, there's something we're forgetting this morning" Paul said
"Yeah? What would that be?" I asked. He started leaning in and just before his lips touched mine, the phone rang.
"Damn phone" I muttered. I reached over to answer it.
"What?" I said, sounding ruder than I wanted to. It's not my fault the phone interrupted Paul and I.
"Hey, is that anyway to speak to your elders?" Laura said
"You're five years older than I am" I said
"I'm still older than you" Laura said
"What do you want?" I said
"Why are you so cranky?" Laura asked
"Paul and I haven't had sex in a few days and you interrupted our kiss" I said
"I promise I won't be long. I just need you to do something for me" Laura said.
"What is it?" I asked
"Come and get me" Laura said
"Laura, I am in a hotel at Southampton! I can't just come and get you!" I said
"Sure you can. Just come down to the lobby" Laura said
"Wait, what?" I questioned but Laura had already hung up on me. I got up and headed for the door.
"Where are you going?" Paul asked
"Laura was being weird and told you to go to the lobby. I think she's trying to trick me or something" I said.
"Then why are you going?" Paul asked.
"Because I trust her as well" I said. With that, I left for the lobby.

As soon as I got to the lobby, I started looking around.
"I swear, sometimes I just wanna-"
"Talking to yourself, sis?" Laura's voice said. I turned around and saw her standing in front of me.
"Laura!? What are you doing here?" I asked
"Well, your husband invited me" Laura said.
"How come he didn't tell me?" I said
"Maybe because it was a surprise?" Laura said with a smirk.
"Just hug me already" I said, bringing Laura into my arms.

I brought Laura up to the hotel room.
"God, you should have seen your face when you saw me. It was priceless!" Laura said.
"Yeah, I bet it was hilarious. So, why did Paul invite you?" I said.
"Maybe he wants to spend quality time with his sister in law, maybe he wants to make you happy, maybe I'm an extra hand for keeping Ethel company. We don't know" Laura said
"But you do" I said
"Yes, and I'm not supposed to tell you" Laura said. I looked at her curiously.
"Why do I feel like Linda and Helen know?" I asked
"Shh" Laura put her finger to my mouth. "You talk too much. Now give your sister a kiss" Laura placed her hands on my cheeks, and brought me into a kiss.
"Eww, why was that so sloppy?" I said, wiping my mouth. "And why does it taste like cherries?"
"The answer for both is probably my lips gloss" Laura said.
"Laura, fancy seeing you here" Paul spoke. We both turned to look at him.
"I already told her you invited me" Laura said.
"You surprised love?" Paul asked.
"Very, now give me that kiss" I said, pressing my lips to his.
"Your lips taste like cherries" he said.
"Your welcome!" Laura said.
