Kakashi
I looked up at the door as Rin walked in; her bangs were loose across her forehead where her forehead protector usually held them back. She was in nothing but her capree pants and a shorter, tighter tank top over bandages having just finished her morning workout.
"You know there are these things called clothes, you could stand wearing them once in a while." Sasuke scolded her. She shrugged.
"Good morning to you to Sasuke" He sighed lightly.
"Morning" I noticed her make a glance around the room and a confused expression crossed her features.
"Where's Naruto?"
"Probably somewhere out there dead." Sasuke responded. He sighed as he got to his feet.
"I'm going for a walk, make sure you eat." I noticed the slight frown as he wandered off out the door.
"We'll with that note I'm going to shower, get real clothes on and then...?" She looked at me and I snapped from my gaze.
"Um Sakura and I will check on Sasuke and Naruto you can guard Tazuna today." She nodded.
"Alright be back in second." I nodded sighing as she walked off. This is how it was every morning. Rin was out by sunrise to work on her jutsu and back by breakfast. I went with her once and was glad to say she was improving or rather as she put it; she was getting her skill back. Things were going smoothly but anything can change at a moment's notice and I knew she wanted to be prepared.

Rin
It had been a long day. I guarded Tazuna alone for most of it and it wasn't very eventful. I mostly focused on perfecting my water clones and had them guarding each corner of the bridge. At this moment I had just finished eating supper and wandering where Naruto and Sasuke were. We had spent at least an hour talking about Inari's father and what happened to him and the two still hadn't returned. I heard the door open and glanced towards it just as Sasuke walked in supporting Naruto.
"We climbed all the way to the top." They told us with a grin plastered on Naruto's face. I sighed lightly as I got to my feet.
"Congrats and all but you two idiots need to be more careful."
"Says the one up before sunrise every morning and trains well into the morning." I rolled my eyes at Sasuke as the two of them took seats at the table. I walked to Sasuke first pressing my hands against his back and focusing my chakra.
"At least now they can finally you join you and Sakura in guarding Tazuna." I smiled slightly and nodded.
"True, all this training is paying off. It's good to work hard."
"But why..." I looked up at Inari.
"What?" He got up then slamming his hands on the table as Naruto looked up.
"All this stupid training is just a waste of time! Gato's got a whole army and they'll beat you down then destroy you! These cool things you all say don't mean anything! No matter what you did the weak always lose and the strong always win!" I removed my hand from Sasuke's back as I walked to Naruto still listening to Inari.
"Just speak for yourself It won't be like that for me you got that" I sighed lightly as I pressed my hands to back.
"Why don't you be quiet, just looking at you makes me sick! You don't know anything about this country you're all just budding in! None of you know what it's like to suffer and to be treated like dirt!" Naruto raised his head again as I fed chakra into his body.
"Listen to yourself whining and complaining like some little victim, you can whimper all day for all I care you're nothing but a coward!"
"Naruto you went too far!" Sakura scolded him. I jumped back slightly when he rose to his feet.
"Naruto wait you..." But he had already walked off. I sighed then as I heard a sob and gave a quick glance to Inari.
"You're wrong you know." Was all I told him before walking off to find Naruto. I stepped into his room and his blue eyes glanced behind his shoulder.
"Did you come here to scold me?" I shook my head.
"No, just to make sure you're alright. You seemed a little hurt by what he said." He sighed as I closed the door and slipped to the floor beside him.
"I was more annoyed, especially since he seemed to be talking to you too and we'll you and Sasuke lost everything." I shrugged slightly.
"Yeah but we have each other and that's still good enough. You have no one." He chuckled then and shook his head.
"No I have you guys now." I smiled then and released a light sigh.
"You know I've always been envious on how you make everything into a good situation" He shrugged.
"I've always been envious on how strong you were."
"I'm not that strong." He shrugged again and it was silent then.
"Do you mind if I ask you something Rin?"
"What is it?"
"What was your dream; you know when we first met Kakashi sensei?" I sighed lightly as I leaned back on my hands.
"Promise not to tell?"
"I swear" I smiled slightly as I pulled the ring from underneath my shirt.
"When I was five, the morning before my clan was killed my father gave me this." He nodded slightly.
"He asked me to promise something important and so I did." I explained, keeping it vague.
"So you're dream is to keep that promise?"
"My dream is to become strong enough to protect both my brothers, even if it's from each other." He nodded slightly and was silent for a moment until he looked up at me.
"I know you'll definitely make your dream come true" I smiled then.
"Thanks Naruto." He smiled back.
"You're going to make a great Hokage one day." I noticed the blush on his cheeks as I got to my feet and gave him one last smile.
"I'm going to get some rest, you better rest to Naruto" I advised before walking off. I sighed lightly but smiled to myself. Naruto always had this way of making things seem so much more reachable. That's probably why I enjoyed his company so much. I really did believe it, he would make a great Hokage one day.
