Sasuke
I knew we had an advantage over everyone else here and that advantage was Rin. With her medical knowledge and ninjutsu we would be fine with injury. Plus her and Sakura's intelligence combined was another huge advantage for our chances of surviving. I glanced at Rin as she read through the consent form. She had woken up early for a run, showered, and made sure to gear up. She had her usual ninja apparel and basic ninja gear but added onto that was medical equipment, summoning scrolls with apparently a variety of things we would need. Her hair was pulled back with two senbon holding it up, one senbon had a bell hanging from it and her forehead protector separated her bangs. She was prepared as always.
"You think we'll be alright?" I looked down at my own consent form and nodded slightly. The forest of death was our second exam stage, a survival exam in which we had a heaven or earth scroll and had to get the corresponding scroll. Maybe half of us would pass then and one of those teams had to be us.
"We will be. We have one of the greatest minds from the academy on our team and the Uchiha Princess." I mocked. She rolled her eyes as she signed her own form. I took her hand pulling her to her feet.
"You know shouldn't you be the Uchiha Prince or something since you're my brother?" I chuckled slightly.
"Boys are common among the head family, you were called Princess because you were the only girl to be born to the head family." She rolled her eyes.
"Whatever." I smiled slightly and put an arm around her shoulder as I lowered to her ear.
"I will only call you Rin through the rest of the exam alright?" I whispered so only she could hear. She nodded slightly.
"Sharingan confirmation too?" She whispered back and I nodded. According to Kabuto and to what's Shikamaru's been hearing around is that a lot of people wanted to face off the Uchiha so we needed ways to make sure we were each other.
"Alright everyone we're going to start handing out the scrolls!" I looked at Rin and noticed the determination in her eyes as she began walking meeting up with Sakura along the way. I sighed following with Naruto behind them. We stepped behind the curtain and handed the ninja our consent forms. He handed Rin an earth scroll but seemed to pause.
"What is it?"
"You're a number one target Princess, you may not want to carry the scroll on you. I've heard a lot of ninjas already planning to take you on for the scroll." I expected her to roll her eyes but instead, she smirked.
"Tell those ninjas that the Uchiha Princess says to bring it on." He chuckled then placing the scroll in her hand.
"Good luck."
Rin
I adjusted the holster around my waist. I had been wearing it since last night to get used to moving with the extra weight. I decided having my hair out of the way would be best for survival. I adjusted my gloves and cracked my knuckles as the ninja unlocked our gate.
"This is it," I muttered. I heard the proctor shout to go and the gates flung open at the same moment we ran in and I had one person in mind that I was looking out for. It was the grass ninja from the exam. It was something about him, about his chakra that set off my mark and I didn't need that happening out here.
"So what's the plan?" I jumped over a branch and slid into a clearing. Sasuke looked over at me.
"You have too much gear."
"I'm fine."
"I'll take some Rin" I looked at Sakura.
"You're a stronger fighter than I am, so you don't need this stuff slowing you down." I smiled slightly.
