Gaara
"...She's been hurt..." The voice of the one tail startled me slightly. He's been silence for most of the time through this portion of the exam.
"Who?" But I knew who, I always knew who.
"...The Princess...you must go Gaara...She is in danger..." I sighed lightly. It's been barely been a full two days, what trouble could she possibly be in.
"Rin is fine"
"...Go now Gaara..." I sighed as I got to my feet both Temari and Kankuro glancing at me as I did.
"How will I find her?"
"...You'll sense her..." I nodded slightly.
"Gaara what are you doing?" I glanced at Temari.
"I'll be back."
"Wait, you can't just take off." I looked over at Kankuro.
"I'm sure you can protect yourselves. I'll be back" I told them before taking off. I swear that girl is going to drive me crazy.
Kabuto
I glanced back Rin's unconscious form. Orochimaru had handed her off to me just yesterday after nearly losing her to Anko. He had to make himself scarce. I took her hand and looked at the tattoo around her wrist. Orochimaru had taken advantage of her unconscious state and used her blood to sign a contract with the snakes, blood now dropped from the cut in arm almost in the form of a snake. All this in hopes that she would go to him for granting her power but what he didn't realize was Rin was nothing like her brother. In the end, even I knew Sasuke would go to him and Rin wouldn't.
"It'd be easier if you didn't exist, Princess," I muttered. Then I wouldn't have to sit here waiting for her to heal up. I sighed releasing her arm and pulling a kunai. He wouldn't care, he just wanted an Uchiha. Even though he wanted Rin, he would be satisfied with Sasuke.
"Nothing personal" I would have brought the kunai down if sand hadn't stopped me. My eyes widened as it moved around Rin and become tighter around my wrist.
"Killing an enemy when they can't fight back, pathetic" I looked up as a familiar boy stepped forward. His eyes were focused on me with a slight hatred in them.
"Gaara of the desert seems like you'll be doing the same."
"I'm not so weak as to need to wait for an enemy to fall." I tried to move as he lifted Rin over his shoulder and noticed his eyes widen slightly.
"She'll die if you take her." He glanced down at me and shook his head once.
"Not unless I'm the one to kill her" He made a single hand sign and disappeared in a swirl of sand taking Rin with him. I sighed shaking my head; he was not going to be happy about this.
Gaara
I was lucky to have found her in time. It didn't take too long but that boy would have killed her if I had taken even a second longer. I had noticed the gash on her arm, the odd shape that the blood seemed to have twisted into.
"...Gaara put her down..."
"What?"
"...Put her down...Quickly..." He urged. I came to a stop in a clearing and set her on the ground. She seemed still for a moment until her eyes opened blinking a few times. She sat up and got to her feet her dark eyes scanning the area until they fell on me.
"So you're the boy that's been disturbing me, you have an unusual amount of hatred coming from within you child." I stared slightly wide eyed at Rin, it was her body but it definitely wasn't her voice. I stood still as she walked towards me. She raised her hand but my sand stopped her. I heard her laugh, a little too darkly.
