Kabuto
I stood above Sasuke's bed with a scalpel in hand. He was so young yet the seeds have evil had already been planted within him. I was still recovering from my battle with Rin but that hadn't stopped Orochimaru from coming to talk to me. Of course he had noticed the malice and killers instinct in Rin's eyes. When she fought it was incredible, she was fast, agile, and never made a movement that wasn't needed. If he got Sasuke he would be hard to get to and if he got Rin to it would be near impossible to touch him. So of course he was right; if I wanted him gone I'd have to kill the two Uchiha he desired.
"Nothing personal" I muttered. I was shocked when a hand caught my wrist. Their grip strong but a wavering weakness in it. I followed the hand and met the familiar blazing red eyes of Rin.
"I take this very personal." She hissed. I could see the strain she was putting on herself. The bruises from our battle were still dark on her fair skin. I could see the blood trickling down her arms where she had most likely ripped out the IV and the small circular red spots on her chest and around her eyes where the monitor stickers had been. Bandages covered her chest and torso and she wore shorts but other than that nothing.
"Rin, I'm amazed you're able to stand." Her eyes fell into a glare.
"Get out now." I smirked slightly.
"I doubt you can make me." I turned sharply just missing her cheek. I noticed her stumble and took this moment to catch her arms and slam her against the wall. She groaned slightly when she hit and I noticed her breathing becoming troubled.
"Still recovering?" She glared at me but her eyes slowly faded to black. I smirked slightly, she barely had chakra to support it.
"Poor Princess..." I taunted gently brushing my fingertips across her cheek.
"No one here to protect you" I whispered feeling her shudder beneath my grip.
"I wouldn't bet on that." I felt my grip leave Rin and expected to slam into the wall but instead I was held in place as sand pinned my arms and legs to my body. I knew this jutsu and I knew this voice and as I looked up I wasn't surprised to see the red head with a hand extended towards me and Rin in his other arm resting against his body.
"You seem to come to her rescue quite often Gaara, what is the Princess to you?" His green eyes were merciless as the sand seemed to tighten around me.
"You seem to want her dead." I chuckled as I stared at him.
"There are many people that want that child dead, I'm only one of them."
"Then you're the first I'll kill." The door slammed opened then and I sighed, yet another to join the party. I need to learn how to finish things quickly.
Gaara
I had sensed Rin was in danger, as always I had sensed it. The one tails had sensed it to. It was an uneasy feeling that made my stomach churn and wouldn't go away until I found her. I knew the kid hadn't seen me he had been to focused on Rin. The way he had touched her, how he taunted her, how he took advantage of her weakness it made my blood boil. What idiot is so afraid and weak that he'll fight his opponent when they can't fight back. Now I had him trapped and I was holding Rin with my other arm kneeling down to support her knowing she couldn't stand. I would have killed him if the door hadn't slammed open. I glanced to the door, and Rin's sensei stood in the frame with his eyes first to Kabuto, then to me and finally to Rin.
"What the hell is going on here." I would have closed my fist if a small familiar hand hadn't slipped into mine.
"I-It's okay Gaara" I glanced down at Rin and her dark eyes looked tiredly up at me.
