Chapter 30: The Uchiha Siblings [Naruto]

I watched as Gaara killed Dosu with little to no effort. His true colors shown beneath a full moon. I smirked slightly, Orochimaru would definitely be pleased with this.

“I hope that was alright, he was a sound ninja.” I glanced at Baki and nodded.

“He’s served his purpose” I told him and he nodded not saying more of it.

“Gaara will be unstoppable once he releases the one tails…”

“What if he doesn’t?”

“He knows the mission, he’ll go through it as will the others.” I nodded slightly.

“My lord is worried that the plan won’t succeed, Gaara seems to have a soft spot for a certain leaf ninja.” I informed him but he shook his head.

“Never, Gaara is incapable of love or friendship with anyone.” I chuckled slightly.

“You seem quite certain of that.”

“Who is he?” I smirked slightly.

“You mean she? None other than the Uchiha Princess Rin Uchiha. He has saved her twice from me, the second time nearly killing me.”

“Nearly? If Gaara wanted you dead you would be.” I chuckled slightly.

“The Princess stopped him, mid-kill she stopped him.”

“That’s impossible…”

“He protected her and was willing to kill me to keep her safe, this is what worries my lord. That he will not be able to fight her.” I noticed him sigh.

“What can I do then? I can no more change Gaara’s mind than his siblings can, if he somehow cares for the Princess that’s it then.” I smirked then.

“I’ve already taken care of it.” He raised his eyebrow.

“How?”

“Haven’t you heard the rumours? That the great Copy Ninja has fallen in love with his student, the Uchiha Princess.”

“Only rumours.” I chuckled then as I handed him a photo his eyes widening as he stared down at it. 

“Not just rumours, truth. I’m sure once Gaara hears of this any, if any feeling he had towards the Princess will be destroyed.” Baki nodded slightly as he returned his gaze to Gaara. If Rin ever found out it was me who sent out those pictures and let out the rumour she’d kill me without a second thought. It had been necessary though, we needed Gaara capable of fighting anyone including Rin without holding back.

Gaara

I was surprised to find Rin in the training grounds alone. She was going at it with her all, even I could tell that. Her shirt had been discarded and hung on a training post so she was only in a sports bra and capree pants. I could see her sharingan a blazing red in the dark. She made fast hand signs and fire lit the night sky setting blaze to a portion of the field. She jumped back sliding on the grass and pushed off again pulling multiple kunai and shuriken hitting each target. Her footing seemed off as she landed and fell on her back. I heard her curse and she hit the ground as she sat up. Her hand ran through her hair and I heard her take a short breath.

“I know you there, so could you please leave so I can cry without an audience.” I sighed lightly as I stepped from the shadows and walked towards her. She wiped her eyes before looking towards me her eyes fading to black.
