Chapter 21: The Uchiha Siblings [Naruto]

Shikamaru

I didn’t know where Rin was and that was the problem. It was Sakura and Jazmine fighting three sound ninja with Sasuke and Naruto unconscious but no Rin. We had seen them from a distance first and I had thought that Rin had been on another part of the field but once we got closer I found that wasn’t the case. Jazmine had launched out to help Sakura the moment she realized Rin wasn’t around, she was a better ninja than her sister but not by much. I knew I had to help them, regardless of what Ino said. It was troublesome but one of my teammates was out there and I know Rin would want me to. I’m also sure Sakura knew where Rin was.  

“That’s my team mate you’re tossing around asshole!” The sound ninja with the holes in his palms, Zaku I think, looked up as did the other two when they heard the voice.

“And an old friend, you’re just a moron aren’t you!?”

“Who is that?” Ino whispered. I noticed the relief in Sakura’s eyes, and the flare of anger in Jazmine’s as they looked up.

“Why don’t you come out here show your face coward!” He shouted. I heard familiar laughter as the leaves above us rustled.

“Fine, but you won’t like it.” Rin appeared then standing in front of Sakura and Jazmine. A smirk on her face and her sharingan activated. I noticed the bandages covering her left arm as she pulled a kunai.

“Rin!” Sakura shouted.

“Uchiha to the rescue” Jazmine muttered bitterly as she turned to look at them.

“Great job Sakura, Jazmine but I’ll take it from here.”  Her eyes looked back to the three but focused on Zaku. She raised a hand.

“Bring it.” He raised his hands to her.

“You’re dead!”

“Rin!” I shouted but she was gone as was Sakura and Jazmine. I looked around the field realizing Sakura and Jazmine were back with Sasuke and Naruto and Rin suddenly appeared behind the sound ninja.

“W-What the…” Rin’s foot slammed into his stomach and he flew across the field. Rin was in the air a second later with her Katana raised and that’s when I noticed her, the girl from their team. I made quick hand signs as the girl ran for her and she stopped just as Rin’s Katana slammed through the guys shoulder pinning him to the ground. Rin turned slightly following the shadow as the guy managed to lift his other arm.

“Bye Princess!” She flew back a few feet and slammed into the ground, the mummy man making a direct line towards her.

“Now so fast!” I jumped from the bush catching his shadow just before he hit Rin. I noticed her eyes widen slightly as she looked at him then towards me.

“Shikamaru…” I grinned slightly.

“Ino, Choji hurry up were a team aren’t we and Jazmine is already out there! Rin this is our fight now, take care of your team” She stared at me for a moment but nodded as she jumped to her feet. This was it, our turn.

Rin

I was trying to heal Sakura’s injuries as quickly as I could so I could move onto Jazmine and the Lee kid. I knew Shikamaru, Ino and Choji weren’t fairing well and I had to get back to the fight.

“Just what I’d expect from ninja from a second rate village!”

“I guess that’d make you guy’s third rate!” I looked up as a girl with two buns in her hair and a familiar genin appeared.
