Chapter 32: The Uchiha Siblings [Naruto]

Rin

I yawned as I walked through the hospital hallways. Suki had me working in here to touch up on my medical knowledge and ninjutsu which was coming along rather well. Later Kakashi wanted to meet up to fine tune the chidori and summoning techniques for tomorrow. I slid open one of the doors smiling slightly when I looked up.

"Hey Choji" He looked up surprised and slightly confused. 

"Rin, what are you doing here?" I motioned to the white hospital uniform and the fact that my hair was pulled back for once.

"Suki has me working here to advance my medical ninjutsu for my fight against Jazmine. What about you?" He nodded slightly and shrugged.

"Ate too much." I giggled slightly as I walked to his beside.

"I saw Ino and Jazmine walking around earlier with a basket of food, so maybe it was for you." He grinned then as began giving him a basic check up.

"I heard Naruto was in here?" I nodded.

"He was left in front of the hospital last night, nothing to bad a few minor cuts and bruises but exhausted from training." I smiled as I stood straight.

"You should be fine to watch the matches tomorrow." He grinned.

"Great, I'd hate to miss it."  

"Anyways I have to go check on Naruto and Lee and a few other patients so I'll see you later." I gave him a small wave as I left his hospital room. I didn't mind working here, it gave me something to do and helped with training and on top of all that kept me distracted. I opened Naruto's room door and sighed once I saw the empty bed and room. Of course he wouldn't wait for a check up. I closed the door and continued walking stopping once I reached the main waiting area.

"What the..." No one, there was no one around. No patients or visitors or other nurses, medical ninja's or doctors. I felt it then a sudden chill down my spine, something was wrong. I dropped the clipboard and broke into a full sprint activating my sharingan in the process. I turned a corner slamming into someone. I managed to land on my hands and push myself back to my feet as I moved into a fighting position slightly shocked when my eyes met familiar sea green eyes.

"Gaara?" His eyes seemed to be just as surprised as mine.

"Rin..." I stood straight as I faced him.

"Sorry I had sensed something weird and my instinct was to put my guard up." He nodded slightly.

"Good instinct to have" I blushed slightly under his gaze and heard him sigh.

"I didn't know you worked in the hospital"

"I don't usually, it's to help with training for my match tomorrow. The uniform is required." It fell silent then and this time I sighed.

"I have a few hours before I have to meet up with Kakashi and my shift is pretty much done here, so why don't I go get dressed in normal clothes and we'll go hang around the village or something?" He seemed to ponder this, as if he wasn't sure until finally his gaze met mine.

"Okay." I smiled then.

"Alright I'll meet you out front!" I ran off then towards the staff locker room. I had time and he looked like he needed to be with someone right now.

Gaara

I had let it take over, that killer's instinct of the one tails. I wasn't sure why, I just needed to kill needed to give it blood. I almost had if that Lee kid's stupid sensei hadn't shown up. Then Rin had run into me, she had sensed it, the one tails but she didn't realize it had been me. I knew why, around her the one tails didn't seem to exist. When I had run into her it had happened again, the one tail recoiled into submission. I sighed staring up at the sky noticing the clouds had darkened.
