Chapter 29: The Uchiha Siblings [Naruto]

"Our sensei Rin, he's our sensei!" I sighed as I tossed the kunai in my hand hitting another target. I was out for training which Kakashi was late for and of course, the rumors and picture had finally found their way to Sasuke.

"I know that..."

"Obviously you don't otherwise you wouldn't be so stupid!"

"We're not even sure what is yet, we're just trying to figure it out Sasuke."

"What about Shikamaru? How does he feel about this." I felt the familiar guilt in my heart as I looked away from him pulling another kunai.

"Shikamaru is doing what he's best at and being my best friend," I responded causing him to sigh and shake his head.

"He probably thinks you're stupid too! Honestly, this is just reckless, what would mom and dad think!?"

"You knew just as well as I did that Kakashi was one of the ones Dad was considering for my betrothal."

"That's different Rin and you know it! This is against so many rules, do you have any idea how much trouble you'll be in!?"

"No Sasuke the thought has completely escaped me! Don't you think I know all that! Oh, wait no I don't cause apparently I'm a complete moron!"

"I'm glad you realize this to." I glared at him as I threw the kunai at him. I knew it was a meaningless throw and so did he as he sidestepped letting it fly past him.

"You know Itachi wouldn't have approved either but at least he would have helped me through it instead of yelling at me!" I would have left then if he hadn't caught my wrist. I felt his grip tighten slightly before he sighed.

"I'm sorry" I turned to face him as he released my wrist.

"It's just, I don't want you getting in trouble for this. Kakashi should know better." I sighed.

"Sasuke, all I really need from you right now is for you to be my big brother through this. Just please no matter what happens be there for me." He sighed again as he pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly.

"Do you care about him?"

"Yes I do Sasuke, a lot and I know there's going to be trouble but things will work out." I heard him release another sigh as he let me go, his eyes meeting mine.

"Okay, then all I can do is be your big brother. Like I should be." I smiled slightly and he returned it. I knew he wouldn't approve but I also knew he would want me to be happy. I pulled another kunai turning on my heel and throwing it. An ANBU caught it and threw it to another target. 

"Good Princess I found you, I'll need you to come with me if you don't mind." Sasuke pushed me back slightly behind him.

"Depends on what for" He shot back.

"Lord Hokage requires her presence." I tilted my head slightly recognizing the voice.

"Suki?" Her head shot up as she looked past Sasuke and I heard her sigh.

"You know there's no point in this mask if you're going to call me out like that." I grinned slightly.

"You trained me for years of course I'd recognize your voice." She nodded as she pushed aside her mask.

"Yeah, yeah I know but seriously the Hokage wants to see you. I'm sure you already know what it's about." I nodded slightly feeling my stomach churn as I stepped in front of Sasuke.

"I'll catch you later Sasuke."

"Good luck" He called out as I followed Suki off the training field. This was it, what I've been waiting for, for the rumors to reach the Hokage's ears.
