Chapter 63: The Uchiha Siblings [Naruto]

**Authors Note: I really love this chapter. I'm just going to put that out there. I really like how it turned out. So I'd appricate some comments as to what you thought. But here it is, what you have been waiting for Rin and Sasuke's confrontation. Please vote, comment and of course enjoy ;]**

Kakashi

"You sent Genin after Sasuke!?" I half yelled at Lady Tsunade the disbelief was clear in my voice as she rested her chin on her hands and looked up.

"Well what else could I do? You know the state that this village is in right now besides Rin is with them." I felt my stomach drop as I stared at her and curled my fingers into fists.

"You sent Rin? She's fresh out of the hospital; she should have still been in the hospital!"

"I wasn't going to tell her but Sakura already had. Would you prefer she take off on her own or I send her with a team?" I sighed as I let a hand drop from the table.

"What if she leaves with him?" I muttered.

"Shikamaru wouldn't let it happen, and I have sent reinforcements." I released another sigh; of course, Shikamaru wouldn't let it happen he probably cared for her as much as I did. I forced aside the thought and stood straight, that wasn't the problem right now. I turned away from Lady Tsunade then about to leave.

"Hey wait where are you going? You already have a mission assigned to you!" I raised my hand in a lazy wave as I continued my walk.

"I have to run an errand first, be back in a bit," I told her closing the door behind me before I made my way quickly out of the building.

"Kakashi Sensei!" I paused as Sakura ran towards me.

"Kakashi Sensei it's been two full days now since Sasuke left the village. Naruto and the others still haven't come back. Lee and Rin are out there too!" I sighed lightly.

"I know I'm pretty much up to speed now," I told her as I began to walk.

"Sensei I have faith in Naruto I do but if anything was to happen to those two I..." She stopped talking when I put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile.

"Sakura you don't need to worry about a thing, just leave it to me." I assured her as I continued walking at a lazy pace. It took a few minutes and I could sense Sakura following me. I stopped just outside of the gates and put my hands together in quick hand signs before hitting the ground causing my ninja hounds to appear in a puff of smoke.

"Alright, guys fan out and search for Naruto, Sasuke, and Rin's scent." Pakkun looked up at me.

"Did you say Naruto, Sasuke, and Rin? What happened to the three of them?"

"I'll explain later, right now time is of the essence. Let me know as soon as you pick their scent I'll be there immediately now scatter!" They jumped in all different directions and I released a slow sigh as I glanced over my shoulder to Sakura. I couldn't even tell her not to worry, not after she saw them go at each other at the hospital. I thought I broke through to him with my lecture, I thought Rin had with her more aggressive approach but nothing had fazed him. His heart remained the same. I had let the idea of Uchiha light blind me from seeing what was actually happening, those two, Naruto and Sasuke could kill each other. A loud howl broke through my thoughts and I broke off following the sound. I just prayed that I would get there on time.

Rin

I slid to a stop on the slick grass, the rain had come on suddenly and it worried me. Nothing good has happened in the rain, at least not for me. I pressed my hand against the trunk of a tree and clenched my teeth trying to suppress my cough but to no avail, as it seemed to come out stronger. I took slow shaky breaths and wiped the blood from my lip. I felt a sudden blast of wind and ducked behind the tree letting it pass as an explosion rocked my ears. I waited till it passed, till the chakra seemed to die down, and broke into a full sprint moving faster through the trees until I broke through landing on a large body of water. I looked around squinting through the heavy rain until there I saw him, a body lying flat on the ground.
