❤ CHAPTER FIVE: DINNER ❤

LOKI'S POV

When Thor told me about the dinner invitation,I did not know whether to be angered or happy about it. It was a good opportunity for me to play more pranks on the mortal girl and her family,but then again,I preferred staying in my room and reading books over socializing with these irksome mortals.

"Please brother..just this once say yes." Thor prompted me. After telling me about it I had not answered him,but only sat in silence pondering over my decision. I looked up at him and nodded once."just this once.." I agreed,but only because I was too tired to fight with him. It had been a long day at school and all I wanted was to read my spell books and get some rest.

"Thank you!" Thor hieved a sigh of relief. "OK,now promise me you'll behave brother." He said,a big smile on his face. I only rolled my eyes at him. I hated how he talked to me as if I were a baby.

"Whatever,Thor."

MEGAN'S POV

Annie and I were practically drooling when Diego ran past us at the beach. He was one of the cutest boys in school and we always hoped he would notice one of us. He played all sorts of sports and he was surprisingly book smart as well. He was just perfect!
"You know,Harry told me that Tony told him that Diego said he thought you were kinda cute." Annie gossiped as she ate from her bag of potato crisps.

"Ohmygosh..really?!" I squealed in excitement. Anthony,fondly called Tony,was a good friend of Diego's. And Harry,a friend of ours,was one of the friendliest people in school. He fitted in in all the social circles at school,so it wasn't surprising that he was chatting up with the popular kids like Tony and Diego."Do you think I have a shot with him?" I asked nervously,playing with my semi-wet hair.

"Yes,you're beautiful!" Annie said reassuringly.

"Next Monday I'm totally going to talk to him." I said to Annie. I wasn't sure if that was a good idea,but it wouldn't hurt if I tested the waters,right? Who knew,maybe Diego liked me as much as I did him.

"What are you going to say to him?" Annie asked curiously.

"I don't know,but I'll think of something." I said with a shrug.

"Cool." Annie nodded."So what do you have planned for today after we leave the beach?"

"Ugh.."I groaned. I didn't even want to think about what awaited me at home."My parents invited Loki and his brother for dinner."

"No way!" Annie shouted,her hands flying over her head.

"Yes way." I confirmed sadly.

"Do you think he'll try to pull something off there?" She asked."Loki is nothing but trouble. As cute as he is."

"He better not try anything. Or else I'll kill him!"

I was in the kitchen helping Lizzie with the food when Adam came in with a weird look on his face."What's wrong with you?" Lizzie asked him. He shook his head and pointed to the doorway.

"I just got the door for Thor and Loki,and when I did,Thor flipped the bird at me."

"Why would he do that?" I asked. I had always thought that Thor was the nicer one of the two.

"I don't know," Said Adam."And when I looked at him without saying a word,he asked me why I was not returning his greeting."

"Weird." Lizzie and I said at the same time.

LOKI'S POV

When I got downstairs Thor was already waiting for me."What is that for?" He asked,pointing at the book tucked under my arm.
