SIGYN'S POV

I was so happy that the celebration went on smoothly without any problems. Little Balder was now recognised as Loki's son and Asgard's youngest prince, and I was his bride-to-be yet again.

After all the formalities, it was now time for everyone to feast, and I was hoping that I could spend time with Loki and Balder, but right when I joined them at the table, Loki told me that he had to go.

"Go where?" I asked him.

"Thor asked Sif, The warriors three and I to meet him at the palace grounds this evening." He said.

"What for?" I asked again, slightly baffled. "You have to be here, with Balder and I. This is a big day for us."

"Yes, please stay." Balder pleaded.

"But I have to go,son." He said apologetically. "Uncle Thor needs me for something."

"Can't it wait?" He pouted. "You promised to be with me today."

"I know, Balder, but..."

"Please father."

"Okay." Loki gave in. "Let's go tell him together."

"Yes!" Balder shouted triumphantly and lifted his arms for his father to carry him. I smiled proudly as I watched them go to Thor, who was busy telling stories to his friends.

FRIGGA'S POV

"What troubles you, my king?" I asked Odin. I couldn't help but notice how quiet he was during the feast. All he did was play with his food and stare into nothingness. "Aren't you happy that the ceremony turned out to be a success? Everything turned out as you planned."

"Of course I'm happy."

"Then why do you look so gloomy?"

"I've just been thinking..." He sighed. "About Loki and the Midgardian."

"Have you?" My eyebrows shot up in anticipation. Could it be possible that he wanted them back together? I wondered.

"Yes, I was watching Loki," he said,"and seeing him with Balder made me wonder if the Midgardian could also be with child."

My eyes widened in surprise. That's what he was thinking about? "For goodness sakes, Odin!" I blushed.

He turned to look at me and laughed at my flustered face. "Why the face, Frigga?" He chuckled. "It wouldn't be a surprise to find out that our son has been intimate with the girl already. She is beautiful and our son is quite handsome, so it only makes sense--"

"And so what if they were?" I interrupted him, my face reddening with embarrassment.

"Then we should find out if the girl is with child." He said. "If she is, we will wait for her to give birth and then take the child with us."

"Isn't that cruel? Taking a child away from its mother."

"She is still way too young. She wouldn't know how to take care of it properly." He argued.

"Oh, and you would?" I frowned at him, my chest rising with fury. "Look at what you did to Loki," I hissed at him,"you took him away from his people yet you push him aside every time he tries to get close to you. Is that what you want to do to his child too?"

"Be quiet, woman!" He whispered loudly, tightly grabbing my arm underneath the table. "Someone might hear you."

"Fine." I lowered my voice,"but I just don't understand you, Odin. You always favour Thor and make Loki feel left out."
