❤ CHAPTER FORTY-SIX: SCHOOL ❤

ANNIE'S POV

When I got to Megan's place I was surprised to find that she had left without me. Lizzie explained to me that she had been in a hurry to go meet someone at school and that she offered her sincerest apologies.

"Did she say who she was going to meet?" I asked,quite curious to know what was happening.

"No." Lizzie replied."Do you know she didn't even eat breakfast? She said she felt full." She added.

"But breakfast is her favorite meal of the day!"

"I know!"

"Is she sick?" I asked worriedly.

"On the contrary," Lizzie laughed,"she has never looked better! She was bouncing when she left."

How strange, I thought to myself as I walked out. Who was this mystery person that Megan was so desperate to see that she couldn't even wait for me?

When I got to school I found her wandering the halls like a lost person. She looked crazy. And I told her just that."Why are you acting so weird?" I asked her."You haven't really forgotten the way to class,have you?"

"No. I'm looking for someone." She answered me,trying to look over my shoulder.

"I know you're looking for someone. Who you're looking for is what I want to know." I said."You didn't even wait for me today."

She finally rested her eyes on me,an ear-to-ear grin on her face. She looked so happy it almost scared me."I'm looking for Loki." She squealed.

"Loki?" I frowned."Why are you looking for him? I told you he went back to Asgard,didn't I?" I added in a whisper.

"Yes,but he came back! He came back for me!" She cheered."He's my hero,Annie. He came to rescue me."

"Slow down,girlie." I interjected."You better explain things to me because I really don't understand you right now." I gently grabbed her hand and pulled her to the nearest ladies' room."Now tell me what the hell you're blabbering about. Why are you looking for Loki and what do you mean he rescued you?"

"Okay. Brace yourself for what I'm about to tell you." She said,her face now turning serious. I had a feeling I wasn't going to like what she was about to say."I snuck out of the house last night." She began,"Diego,Tony and I were going to the Black Veil Brides concert--"

"BvB?" I shrieked."You went to see them and you didn't tell me?! What sort of friend are you!!"

"Calm down. It was a last minute thing." She said with a sigh."I didn't even want to go. Those two challenged me."

"What do you mean they challenged you? Do you really need to be challenged to go to a Black Veil Brides concert? I would have said yes at the drop of a hat!" I argued."So how was it? Did you get to meet Andy? Did you make eye contact with him?"

"The concert..It was okay,I guess. And no,I didn't meet him nor make eye contact. It was a school night,that's why I didn't want to go." She said exasperatedly."Anyway,so we went there and after the concert,things started going downhill."

"Oh. What happened? Did the car break down or something?" I asked.

"Diego and his friends wanted to get wasted at some club, and I wasn't down with it. So they forced me there and tried to force themselves on me."

"WHAT?!?!" I found myself shouting. "Have they gone crazy?!?! Did they hurt you?! Are you okay?!"

"Calm down,Annie. I'm fine." She assured me,placing a hand on my shoulder."This is where Loki came in. He rescued me before they could do anything." She added with a smile.
