MEGAN'S POV

Adam, Lizzie and I were more than happy to see our parents. And they were just as excited to see us too. They gave us the biggest hug ever, and it felt so good to be back home.

"How was Norway? Did you three enjoy yourselves?" Mum asked us as she whipped up some food for us in the kitchen.

"It was so cool." Adam answered excitedly. "That place was totally sick."

"Sick? What do you mean by that?" Asked dad. "Kids and their weird talks these days."

"He means it was awesome." Lizzie said with a laugh.

"So? How did Loki's family receive you, honey?" Mum asked, her question directed at me.

"They were nice. They were happy for us." I replied, a faint hearted smile on my face. I really hoped that they wouldn't see the sadness behind my smile. I was really trying my best to stay strong even though all I wanted to do at the moment was cry and break everything I could get my hands on.

"Their place is really awesome, mum. They had a lot of horses!" Adam spoke up, saving me from having to say anything more. I flashed him a grateful smile then looked down at the hot cup of coffee that I had cupped in my hands, trying to warm myself. It was raining outside, and I felt chilly.

"Is it okay if I went up to my room for a bit? I kind of want to lie down." I said to my parents. "Lizzie will call me down when the food's ready, won't you?"

"Sure." Lizzie agreed.

"Thanks." I said, pushing back my chair and slowly making my way upstairs to my room.

The moment I was out of their sight, I already had tears coming out of my eyes. By the time I was inside my room, my whole face was wet and my T-shirt was already starting to get soaked up.

I kicked off my shoes and lay on the bed, quietly sobbing as thoughts of Loki rushed through my mind. I thought of all the good times we had shared together: the days we laughed and played, and the special night when I finally gave myself to him. It had been the most wonderful, most treasured experience of my life. And it hurt me to know that I would never be able to get that happy and intimate with him again.

I don't know for how long I had been crying, but somewhere in the middle of my weeping I had managed to doze off into a deep sleep. I woke up to the sound of light thudded, calculated footsteps inside my room.

I only knew one person who walked like that, and I bolted upright from my bed and came face to face with Loki standing across my bed, calmly watching me.

"Fucking hell Loki! You scared me!" I shouted at him.

"I'm sorry." He apologized.

"Why did you follow me? I thought I told Heimdall--"

"What you said to Heimdall isn't important now." He cut me off. "I'm here now, because I want you. We need to talk Megan."

"I don't think there's anything left to talk about, Loki." I said with a sigh. "All has been said and done already."

"No, we do have a lot to talk about. You left quite abruptly and never gave me a chance to explain anything to you."

"And what is there to explain?" I asked. "Look, you don't need to worry about me. I understand that right now you have a lot on your plate with Sigyn and the baby. They're the ones you need to be following, not me."

"But what we had--"

"What we had was good while it lasted." I interrupted, still trying to put on a brave face despite the tears I felt coming on. "You have a family now. Go be with them and forget about me."

"That's impossible." Said Loki, taking my hand in his. "How could I forget about you? You're the only person that matters to me. You and my son. You're my family."

"And Sigyn?"

"What Sigyn and I had is long forgotten in the past. She walked away from me. And now that I moved on and found you, what she and I had can never be revived. You're the only woman I love now."

I could see in his eyes that he meant what he said, but I still couldn't bring myself to accept his words. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he had a child with a woman that wasn't me, and said woman had come back for what was hers in the beginning. There was no way I was going to win this fight for a place at Loki's side.

"No..." I shook my head. "Just go, Loki."

"My love, please don't push me away..." He pleaded, his eyes getting as watery as mine were.

"We are from two different worlds. It isn't going to work out." I told him.

"Megan, don't be like this..."

"You have a son now, Loki. You and I, we don't have a future together. Just leave me alone."

"No, please..." He tried to beg, but I wouldn't listen.

"Just leave already!" I screamed at him, pushing him far away from me that he almost hit his head on the wall.

"Fine...Have it your way then." He said resignedly, his hands curled into tight fists, his eyes burning green with sadness and anger within. And with that, he vanished from my room and from my life forever.

It was only then that I realised I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Oh heavens, why did I let him go? Why did I have to be so stupid? I loved him!

ANNIE'S POV

The first person I saw when I got home was Daniel. He looked more than happy to see me again. I ran towards him and we crashed into each other in a tight hug.

"I've missed you so much!" He said.

"Me more." I told him.

"How was Norway?" He asked me as we pulled away from our hug.

"It was awesome. It felt like I was living in a fantasy." I said truthfully.

"Really?" Daniel laughed. He thought I was exaggerating.

"If only you were there you'd know what I'm talking about." I said. "That place was insane."

"Well, I'm glad you had fun." He chuckled.

"Where's Sheryl and mum?" I asked.

"Oh, they're not home. Mum took her to one of her friend's house for a play date. They've been gone all day." He informed me, then walked past me and went to grab my bag. "Okay, let's get this to your room and I'll fix you something to eat. How does that sound?"

"Perfect!" I exclaimed. "Make it a heavy meal too. I'm so hungry." I added with a smile. I couldn't wait to relax and settle back in. It felt so good to be back home.
