AISHA'S POV

Zulfa and I had just arrived back to the palace from the markets when we saw Prince Loki arrive on horseback with people we did not recognize. They looked and dressed differently and immediately we knew they were not of Asgard.

"Look,Prince Loki is back." I said to Zulfa."We should go tend to him."

"We should." Zulfa agreed, a mischievous glint in her eyes. For the longest time she, like many other servants in the palace, harboured great feelings for the young prince. With his good looks and charming demeanor,I understood why that was so,but I still felt that she was wasting her time trying to get the prince to notice her.

"Wipe that look off your face,Zulfa. It is never going to happen." I told her. She understood quite well what i was talking about, and she rolled her eyes at me. We handed our things to other servants and rushed to the prince.

His guests looked us on with fascination as we bowed before him as was our norm."Welcome back, Prince Loki." Zulfa spoke,a tad bit more enthusiastically than was necessary.

"Thank you." Prince Loki replied to her,a warm smile on his face. Neither of us had ever seen the prince smile that way before, and Zulfa and I exchanged surprised looks. It felt so good being graced with a smile such as that from him. "Will you ladies please have three rooms prepared for my guests?" He said."They've come a long way from Midgard."

Ah,so they were Midgardians. Interesting.

"Three rooms,my prince?" Zulfa questioned."But they are four of them." She pointed out.

"Oh. I will be sharing a room with her." He answered, taking the hand of one of the Midgardian ladies. She was very beautiful, with sun kissed fair skin, long raven black hair and captivating brown eyes. She was undeniably very pleasing to look at.

I smiled and nodded, impressed at the Prince's impeccable choice of women, and also because I was happy to have them come pay Asgard a visit. On the other hand, Zulfa looked well about ready to strangle the poor girl already. She was dying with immense jealousy.

They walked past us and went inside the palace, leaving us two alone, and that is when Zulfa finally expressed her outrage."Did you hear that,Aisha? He is sharing a room with that Midgardian filth! I cant believe he has a girlfriend now!" She yelled incredulously."Of all the realms in Yggdrasil, why did he have to go to Midgard and fall for that woman?"

"Look at yourself." I laughed at her."You act as if you were betrothed to him and now he had betrayed you."

"If I had a little bit more time, eventually I would have been betrothed to him." She huffed."I wasn't that far from making him notice me,Aisha."

"If you say so." I snickered, highly amused by her child like outbursts."Like I told you, just forget about him. He is Prince of Asgard and you are nothing more than a mere servant. It is never going to happen. Get that in your head."

"You underestimate me,Aisha." She said, narrowing her eyes at me."You just wait and see. I will make Prince Loki fall in love with me."

LOKI'S POV

"This place is massive." Adam said in awe as we walked through the halls of the palace. We were headed to the throne room, where I supposed the All-Father was. I wanted to him to be the first one to know that we had guests, to avoid any misunderstandings.

"I could live here forever. It is so beautiful." Said Megan, her eyes twinkling with child-like wonder. It filled me with joy to know that she already liked my home. Now that I looked around my surroundings through her eyes, indeed I also felt myself fall in love with Asgard all over again. For the longest time I had taken all its grandeur for granted, but now I was filled with a new sense of admiration and appreciation of all the things we were blessed with here.
