LOKI'S POV

When I went back to my chambers I was surprised to find Megan dressed and with her bag fully packed, ready to leave."Finally you're back. I just told Annie to go find you because I plan to leave." She said, and I realized that she had been crying.

"Leave? What's wrong my love?" I asked worriedly. Why would she want to leave? I wondered if something bad had happened to her the short time I was gone. Or had someone tried to scare her?

"I have something to ask you. And you better answer me with the truth, Loki. I know you're the god of lies but if you lie to me I will never forgive you." She said, staring me down coldly.

"Alright. Ask me." I nodded. I wondered what it was that I had done to upset her so much.

"Is it true that you forced Sif to call off the engagement with Thor? Yes or no."

Aha! I should have known that insufferable wench had something to do with this! Now just what had she told Megan to make her this mad?

"What did she tell you?" I asked.

"Just answer the question!" Megan hissed at me.

"Yes. It's true."

"Oh my goodness." She sobbed.

"But I can expl--"

"Shut up!" She growled, shutting me up at once. Angry eyes were just the start. Then came the strut, the slamming and clipped words as she walked towards me."Now answer me this, did a kiss really happen between the two of you? Yes or no."

I took a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair. I knew my answer was going to upset her even more, but if she would only let me explain...

"Answer me!" She prompted. I had been silent for a moment too long. "Did it happen?"

"Yes, but please let me explain!"

"Explain? What is there to explain? Everything is crystal clear now!" She shouted, her words followed on by a bitter laugh. She stared at me, the look in her eyes ones that I had never seen before. There was a stillness to them, and what they told me was that I was already dead to her. She had already judged me, and what was left in her was nothing but hatred. "You used me, Loki." She spat at me, her voice full of hurt."I gave everything to you, only for you to push me aside!"

"Megan, you've got it all wrong. Please-"

"I don't want to hear anything you have to say!" She screamed, pushing me aside and walking away. "I hope you have fun with Sif! You and I are over!" Her words felt like someone had just stabbed my heart with a knife, the sharp point digging deeper and deeper with each step she took away from me.

I couldn't just let her leave like that. I would be damned if I lost her a second time. She meant everything to me. I ran out after her. "Don't even try to stop me Loki! There is nothing you can do yo keep me here!" She yelled at me when I caught up with her.

"Of course there is." I said determinedly. The moment she least expected it, I grabbed her round the waist and tossed her on to mymy shoulder then teleported us back to my chambers.

When I put her down, she wasted no time in running for the door, but I banged them shut with my magic. "You are not leaving this room unless I say so!" I told her. This time I was the one who was angry. How dare she believe somebody else's lies instead of trusting me?

"Listen to me, Loki. You can't keep me here by force!"

"Of course I can." I retorted, grabbing her by her arms and pulling her towards me."Now you listen to me, Megan. I would rather die before I let you slip out of my fingers again. Yes, I did force Sif to break up with Thor, but that was because she was being unfaithful. Not with me, but with Fandraal, one of the common friends we share. And secondly, a kiss did happen between Sif and I, but I promise you, it was not consensual. She surprised me with a kiss, but I rejected her immediately."
