SIF'S POV

"Welcome back to Asgard." Heimdall welcomed me and the Warriors Three when we got back from battle that evening.

"Thank you,old friend!" Fandraal said cheerily, dragging Volstagg and Hogun along with him,the three of them eager to get on with their usual drinking.

"You don't look too happy, sister." Heimdall noted carefully, comparing my dull mood to my friends' vibrant ones.

"It is hard to feel happy with all the hardships I'm currently facing, brother." I said with a sigh. "I'm no longer engaged to Thor and Loki thinks the worst of me. Also,we almost lost at battle. I don't know what to do."

"I think that you need to start being honest. With yourself and everyone else." He said."Come clean and tell Thor the real reason behind your breakup. Tell him Fandraal refuses to leave you alone."

"And then what?" I scoffed."He will only hate me more!"

"Or he won't. It could go either way."

"Well,I'm sure he will." I said decisively."Also,I am certain that Loki will never let us get back together."

"What does he have to do with anything?"

"He believes that I am still in love with Fandraal, and that I was cheating on Thor with him."

"Maybe you aren't in love with him,but you were cheating, that much is true." Said Heimdall, tilting his head to one side."And before you say otherwise," he added,"let me tell you this: it all comes back to the same thing. Honesty."

I shook my head."Honesty? I really don't understand you,Heimdall." I told him.

"Then I will gladly explain it to you,if you allow me." He offered, stepping down from his post."You see,all these things that you insist on keeping to yourself have come to be your downfall. If only you had told Loki the truth about the supposed torture Fandraal has been making you go through, then maybe he wouldn't think the worst of you. Heck,he would have even helped you out. But no. You chose to keep quiet and let his imagination run wild. That is why he does not see you fit to be his brother's bride."

"Or he's just jealous." I pointed out."We all know he has always been envious of Thor."

"Of course, but let's not kid ourselves here,Sif," Heimdall laughed,"Loki may be a lot of things but one thing you can be certain of is his love for his family. Even when Odin, with his temper, does him wrong,he tolerates him still. So you can't really tell me he is jealous because Thor has you. He always puts his family's happiness before his."

"So all the blame is on me? Is that what you're saying?"

"Exactly that." He said."You even kissed him,Sif! What was that all about?"

"Hmm.. Nothing." I hummed thoughtfully and refused to answer. Even if I explained it to him,I didn't think he would understand my reasons.

LOKI'S POV

I couldn't sleep at all that night. I kept trying to think of the best way to tell Megan about me not being able to double-date,but I couldn't come up with anything. Even as I prepared myself for school that morning,I kept racking my brain in hopes of finding something, but still I ended up with nothing.

The whole day at school all Megan could talk about was what she was going to wear. I told her to wear whatever she liked, because to me she looked good in everything, but she kept insisting she needed to shop for a new dress.

Annie tagged along with us to the mall after school, and all afternoon they dragged me from one shop to the next, using me as a human mirror. Every time it was "Loki, how does this look on me?" "Loki, what do you think of this color?" "Does it make my eyes pop?" "Does it match my skin tone?" "Which shoes make my legs look longer?" "Ooh,look at that purse, its so pretty!" "Loki, hold my bags." "Loki, let's get pedicures together." "Selfie!" "Hash tag chilling with the squad!" "Hash tag shopping!" "Hash tag getting our nails done!"
