LOKI'S POV
"Ah,yes..." I moaned as I sunk my tired body in bed and under my warm covers. All those days in Midgard almost made me forget how much I had missed my own room. Big,dark, quiet and surrounded by my books. Just how I liked it. Perhaps the only thing that could make lying here even more perfect was Megan.
My Megan...
How I missed the sound of her voice. I missed looking into her eyes and watching her blush under my stare. Most of all I missed all the little pranks we played on each other. How fun it had been.
I found myself smiling as I remembered the first day at school. She had been furious with me for not only taking her seat, but for also sticking chewing gum on her jeans and tripping her on her way out of class. And just when she thought her day couldn't get any worse, she came back home, only to find that I'm her new neighbor. Poor girl.
I then laughed, remembering the look of horror on her face when I had turned her lunch into worms. She had to stay hungry till the end of the school day, poor thing. But in my defense, she had it coming. She shouldn't have drawn all over my locker with a sharpie, even though I secretly found her meaningless doodles incredibly adorable.
Then,as we were leaving for home,in all her fury, she had waited for me and pushed me down the stairs outside the school building. I hadn't seen that coming,to be quite honest. I lay on the ground momentarily shocked, and the silly mortal had thought she had nearly killed me. I remember how she panicked and rushed to my side, praying that I wasn't dead. I had laughed, quite amused by her show of concern, and quite oddly it seemed to annoy her. I'm guessing she was faking it,and that in truth she was quite happy to see that I was alright.
Then there was that evening when her parents invited us for supper at their place. I found her family members to be rather odd,but they were good people. Spending time with them had to be one of my absolute favorite memories of Midgard. I didn't like their beer, not even an ounce, but the food was surprisingly delicious. Everything was perfect. Especially the part where Adam and I embarrassed Thor and Megan. We put them through hell,it was wonderful. My favorite moment was when Adam choked and I hit his back and all the food in his mouth flew and landed on Megan's face. That was hilarious!
"Loki."
Thor's voice dragged me out of my thoughts. I looked up at him, quite annoyed by his intrusion."Haven't you ever heard of knocking?" I complained.
"Never mind the door. I need to speak to you." He said, his face contorted in a frown.
"Is it urgent?" I asked.
"It's about Sif."
"That bloody woman again?" I groaned. "Can't it wait till tomorrow, Thor?"
"No."
"What,is she dying?"
"No,Loki. She broke up with me." He said, his voice filled with emotion."I came here so that you could tell me what it is that you know."
"What I know?"
"Yes. You were certain that she wouldn't be part of the Odinson family. You said that when I found out about her true identity I would rue the day I set my eyes on her."
"So?"
"So,you must have known that she was going to break up with me! Tell me what she told you!"
"She didn't tell me anything,Thor." I sighed, rolling my eyes at him."I just predicted that she didn't love you anymore. Turns out I was right." I said with a shrug."when you fall out of love with somebody, you look for any way out of the relationship,I suppose."
