LOKI'S POV

I felt quite happy with myself. Megan did not know this,but the whole time she had been talking to her parents about me the previous evening,I was present. I was too curious to know how it would all go and could not bring myself to sit at home and do nothing.

I teleported to their house and found myself in their kitchen. I made myself invisible and walked out to their living room,just as Megan,Adam and Lizzie were coming down the stairs. Megan looked particularly nervous,and the others I presumed, felt worried for her.

They sat on a sofa right across their parents while I stood right behind Mr. and Mrs. Sky. They immediately became concerned when they saw how afraid their children looked. "Guys,are you okay?" Mrs. Sky asked worriedly.

Megan opened her mouth to speak,but no words could come out,so Adam decided to speak instead."Mum, dad, we have something to tell you." He said, in a rather relaxed tone.

"Are you okay?" Mrs Sky repeated, her forehead slightly creased with worry.

"We're fine,don't worry." Adam assured her."We just want to have a small talk with you."

"What about?" Mr. Sky spoke up. "Megan,are you alright? You look sick." He pointed out,narrowing his eyes at Megan. My eyes flickered up,and sure enough,Megan did look quite unwell. She had turned rather pale and she had beads of sweat forming on her head. Her cheeks looked flushed and her eyes were widened,making them look oddly big, like she was really overwhelmed. Clearly what she was about to confess to them scared her.

"Oh dear," Mrs. Sky suddenly panicked,"I think i know what this is about. You're not pregnant,are you?" She gasped,slapping a hand over her mouth.

"Ha! That's what I thought too!"Adam exclaimed happily. "See? I'm not the only one who suspected it. Whose stupid now?"He added,sticking out his tongue at his sisters.

"You're still the stupid one." Lizzie said through gritted teeth.

"So she's pregnant?!" Mr. Sky bellowed.

"No,I'm not pregnant! Jeez!" Megan shouted out of the blue, talking for the very first time. She then glared at Adam quite determinedly,like there was nothing she wanted more than to kill him with her bare hands. Oh good heavens, she looked so attractive when she was angry. Suddenly I wished it was me she was looking at instead, with such fire burning in her eyes.

"What is it then? Stop scaring us." Mrs. Sky muttered breathlessly, nervously clutching the hem of her skirt.

Tearing her eyes away from Adam,Megan collected herself and started,"Er...you guys know Loki,right?" She said in a shaky voice,"Well, he and I...we're dating." She finally said it,then waited for their reactions. The whole room was suddenly filled with an awkward silence. Even the television's background noise wasn't doing much to help matters.

"Since when?"Mr. Sky finally decided to break the silence.
"Not for long." Megan answered him."We started going out officially on Wednesday, but I've honestly always liked him since we met. He's a really wonderful guy."

Oh,she thought I was wonderful? What a sweetheart!

"Well,where is he? Why isn't he here with you to tell us?" Mrs. Sky questioned, crossing one leg over the other. "We haven't really seen him since they moved out."

"He's not here because I asked him not to come." Megan answered."I wanted you to hear the news from me first."

"Okay,that sounds reasonable.." Mrs. Sky spoke hesitantly."So are you going to bring him over later to talk with us?"

"Yes,of course." Megan nodded."And after he talks with you guys, we were thinking that I should also go and meet his parents too. It seems only fair." She added.
