❤ CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN: DO NOT TOUCH ME ❤

ZULFA'S POV

Sigyn was pacing around when I went to check in on her in Loki's room. "What troubles you, Princess?" I asked as I closed the doors behind me. She let out a long sigh and walked towards one of the windows, her face downcast.

"I don't feel right about any of this." She said.

"Have you met the Midgardian already?" I asked.

"Yes." She said. "She looked greatly troubled when I told her who I was. I felt bad for her."

"Why?" I scoffed. "Loki was first yours, wasn't he? You two were even expecting a child!"

"Yes. A child that you threatened to kill if I dared marry him!" Sigyn hissed at me, her eyes filled with contempt. "And even after I left, you still followed me and stole him from me when i gave birth. You then had that witch Amora put me captivity for all this time. Why would you do such a cruel thing?"

I laughed, my heart filled with no remorse at all. "I had to make sure there was no way you'd come back to take Loki away from me." I told her. "And unless you want to remain in captivity and never see your son again, you will do exactly as I say, you slave."

"Sure." Sigyn nodded, tears slowly filling her eyes. "What do you want me to do?"

LOKI'S POV

Thor, The Warriors Three and I were on our way to the stables when Zulfa came running towards us, out of breath. "Prince Loki! Prince Loki!" She panted as she fell before my feet.

"What is it you want, Zulfa?" I asked, my brows creasing with confusion.

"Prince Loki. You have to come with me." She said. "You wont believe who just came back to Asgard."

"I do not have the time to play guessing games with you, servant." I said impatiently. "Tell us now what is going on."

"Yes. Forgive me, my prince." She apologised, bowing her head down. "I meant to tell you that Princess Sigyn is back in Asgard."

"Princess Sigyn?!" Thor exclaimed in disbelief. "But how?!"

"What kind of sick joke is this, servant!" I shouted, grabbing her by the arm.

"It is no joke, Prince Loki." She swore. "I saw her myself. She is with the queen as we speak."

"This can't be happening." I growled, pushing her aside.

"Friends, i'm afraid we will have to postpone our trip." Thor told the rest as he wrapped his arm around me. "Brother," he said to me, "you have me with you. We will have this sorted out together."

"We are here too if you need us." Said Volstagg.

"I'll deal with the servant." Sif offered, taking Zulfa by the hand and dragging her away from us.

"Come," Said Thor, "lets go see mother."

SIGYN'S POV

The king and queen could not believe their eyes when I walked into the throne room. Odin's eyes widened with disbelief and Queen Frigga's jaw nearly dropped to her feet. From their looks I could tell that they did not know how to react upon seeing me.

I had mixed feelings rushing through me as well. Feelings of happiness and sadness. Happy that I got to see them again, the people who took me in and treated me as one of their own. They had grown to become my family. But i was just as well sad. Sad because i was well aware of the ill intentions that had brought me back to them, yet there was nothing i could do to stop it. I had to do this if i ever wanted to see my son - Loki's son - ever again.

Queen Frigga was the first one to speak up. "Do my eyes deceive me, or is it really you Sigyn?" She asked as she cautiously made her way towards me, eyeing me as if she were seeing a ghost.

"It is I, my queen." I said breathily as i also took a step toward her, a crooked smile forming on my face. She reached out her hand to touch my gown, and as if finally believing I was real, tears clouded her eyes and she pulled me in for a hug.

"My child," she cried, "it's been so long."

"It has, hasn't it?" I sniffed, trying my best to fight the tears threatening to burst out of my eyes.

"Sigyn," Odin's voice boomed around us, and we broke our hug to look at him. He had gotten up from his throne, looking down at us with an expressionless face.

"Allfather." I went and bowed before him.

"Sigyn," he repeated, "where have you been all this time?" He asked. "Believe me when I say that I'm glad to see you again, alive and well, but you have a lot of explaining to do."

"I know, Allfather."

"We searched for you everywhere, but you were nowhere to be found." Said Frigga. "We were all so worried...and Loki..."

Loki...my Loki... My heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. "How is he?" I found myself asking.

"He was heartbroken when you left." Odin answered. "He found himself a Midgardian, you know."

"Megan." I nodded. "Yes, i know. I saw her."

"Have you, now. Did you tell her who you were?" Asked Frigga, seemingly worried.

"Yes, I did." I replied. "I first went to Loki's chambers when I got here, but I didn't find him. She found me there instead, and after explaining to her who I was, she got quite upset and ran off. I don't know where she went to."

"Poor girl. I'm sure she felt cheated." Said Odin with a sigh. "I wonder where Loki and Thor went to." He thought out loud, then turned to one of his guards, "find my sons and have them brought before me." He ordered. But just then, the doors to the throne room swung open and in came Loki and Thor, walking side by side in solidarity.

I felt elated when I saw them, but my heart sunk as soon as Loki made eye contact with me. For some reason, I had expected him to be happy to see me again. After all, we had been deeply in love with each other at one point, and i still hoped to see that love in his eyes. But what i saw was something else. His eyes burned green with fury and his fingers were tightly curled into fists of rage.

"Loki." I whispered delicately as he marched toward me. "Loki, my love..." I reached out to touch him, only for him to grab my hand by the wrist and push me away with a fierce growl.

"Do. Not. Touch. Me."
