THOR'S POV

Frost giants?

I looked behind me, following father's gaze. Immediately I noticed a strange sight before us. Ice crept up across the surface of the large banners around the hall, making an eerie cracking sound.

Far off I could hear the sounds of a battle echo in the depths of the palace below. I looked back to the All father's face and I could see that he had heard it too.

"Go." Ordered mother, and Sif and the Warriors three immediately reached for their weapons and raced out the hall. Loki followed them, but then stopped behind and went ahead to fetch Megan. Sif gave them a disapproving look, but then continued on outside.

I approached my brother just as he was ordering one of his maidens to escort the Midgardians back to his chambers. "We must leave for the vaults." I told him urgently.

"Of course." He nodded and followed me out the hall, no questions asked.

"I'm coming with you." Said Adam, running to catch up with us.

"No, Adam. Stay behind." I told him, only for him to step in front of me. "This is dangerous." I added warningly.

"No. I don't care about that. I want to know what's going on. I want to help." He said stubbornly.

"Frost giants." Loki spoke up. "We think they've infiltrated our bases."

"Frost giants? What are they?" Adam questioned as we continued our walk.

"They're monsters. The very worst of their kind." I replied with distaste. " If I see them I won't spare any one!"

"The weapons vault." Loki spoke again, his eyes half closed. He then turned to Adam and I. "Mother says we should go there." He told us.

MEGAN'S POV

"Aisha, I think we'll go on from here." I said.

Aisha stared at me with wide eyes."But miss, Prince Loki specifically told me to--"

"Its alright. I will take care of him. Just go." I cut her short. "Nothing bad will happen to us."

"But--"

"I'm sure there are others who need your services, right? Please don't worry about us." I insisted.

"Alright." She gave in. "I will be back to check up on you, though." She added, and with that, she left.

"What's going on?" Lizzie asked me, fear evident in her voice as we approached mine and Loki's room.

I shook my head. "I don't know." I lied, pushing the double doors to the chambers open. We all halted in our steps as soon as we stepped inside.

Before us, standing by one of Loki's windows, was a tall blonde lady of unearthly beauty. She had pale skin and big blue eyes, and her pink lips were parted in surprise.

"Who are you?" She asked, her voice painfully soft.

"Who are we? Who are you?" I retorted, crossing my hands over my chest. "Who let you in here?"

"I let myself in." She answered. "This is my room."

"Excuse me?"

"Is she crazy?" I heard Annie whisper behind me.

"She's nuts." Lizzie affirmed.

"What do you mean this is your room?" I asked her. "I think you're lost."

"Am I?" She subtly raised an eyebrow at me. "So this aren't Loki's chambers?"

"They are, but you have no business being here." I told her. I was also starting to think she was crazy. "I'd appreciate it if you left now, please."
