The Project. {Shawn Mendes}

Chapter 2

We sat down next to Angelina without even saying anything.
She looked at me and I looked at her in a way that she'd catch on.

"Oh my god what happened?!"

We all did a little huddle and explained to Angelina what we heard.
"HE WHAT?!"

I smacked my hand over her mouth and kept it there.

"Dude shut up! The whole class doesn't need to know."

I uncovered her mouth and she looked around making sure no one was looking at us.

"Well they're gonna find out when you break up with him."

"Yeah when will that be exactly?"

"When I have proof that they're dating so I need your help with that."

They both smiled evily and then we laughed.
The bell rang and it was time for second period.
Health.
I grabbed my bag off my chair and waiting for Gemma to get ready.

"Come on Gem, I'd like to not be late again this week."

"Hold on."

She finished putting her books in her bag and I practically dragged her out of the class.
We walked to Health class together, like usual, but once we got there, we went our separate ways because we sit in different spots.
I was alone at the back and she sat with Dylan Jackson in the front.
I sat down in my seat and started doodling in my binder.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Shawn sit next to me.

"Hey."

I looked up at him and shot a little wave at him.
I looked back at my paper and continued to draw as Shawn spoke again.

"So you're Megan, right?"

"Yeah why?"

"No reason just wondering."

I chuckled and continued to doodling until Mme Albert came in and started the lesson.
I wasn't really paying attention until I heard the word 'Project'.

"Ok guys, your project for the next month or so is a partner project. You and your partner will both write down all the things youve learned about each other in these past months. And in case you're all wondering, I'll be picking your partners."

The class groaned and I face palmed.

"Ok so, the partners are; Gemma and Jack. Braiden and Ryley, Jeffrey and Sara, Luke and Angelina, Mark and Dylan, Jayden and Ella and Megan and Shawn."

I looked at her and glared.

"I'm sorry Megan, is there a problem?"

"Yea, there is. Why tf can't I just do the project on someone famous instead of having a partner?"

"Because it would defeat the purpose of it being a 'Partner Project'."

"Well change the fucking name then!"

I hit my hand on the desk and shawn jumped back a little.

"Megan, you and your partner can go home because you're not welcome here for the rest of the day. Go."

"Glady! Hope you rot in hell."

I closed my binder loudly and put it in my bag.
Shawn was doing the same with his stuff.
As I walked passed Jacks table I heard him laugh.

"I'll see you later tonight babe."

I clenched my fists and shouted
"don't call me babe!"
And I walked out of the class.
I was walking really fast to my locker with Shawn struggling to catch up.

"So are we going to.."

"Look Shawn, I'll do the whole project and put your name on it you can go home."

"No."

I looked at him.

"I'm not gonna let you do it by yourself. I don't want the credit I just don't think it's fair that you do all the work."

I smiled a little as I closed my locker.
Talking to Shawn kind of calmed my breathing down and I didnt feel as angry as I was before.
As we left the school Shawn started a conversation and it lasted the whole way to my house.
Maybe this project won't be that bad after all.
