Revelations

Flynn

Tears continue to flow down my cheeks as I watched Hendrix's armaments bring his blood-spattered form inside the mansion. Upon entering, we saw Lady Ada rushing down the staircase. Her face went into a panicked and worried mode when she saw what had happened to his lad. I followed behind them as Lady Ada assists us upstairs towards one of the many rooms where the family doctor was waiting. The medic did stop me from entering the room before I could even step one foot inside but I was too occupied to listen to them. I wanted to be on his side. I wanna make sure he'll get over this. I tried to push them out of the way begging them to let me enter until it was Lady Ada who pleaded for me to stop being inconsiderate. She pontificated that they don't need me hovering on their shoulders while they took care of Hendrix. Even though I don't want to, I didn't have any choice but to stay outside the room hoping for the best as I cry my heart out on Lady Ada's arms.

I don't know how long I have been sitting on the floor outside the improvised operating room or how long I have been crying. I wanted to shed more tears but my eyes couldn't produce any more waterworks. I constantly glanced back to the door every now and then hoping that when the doctor comes out, he would tell me that Hendrix survived the gunshot. On the other hand, Lady Ada went out to talk to the men about the incident. They wanted me to discourse about what I witnessed but I was not on the mood. I wanted to make sure first that Hendrix was safe before I could make a single statement though I didn't even know the man. I don't even know who he was or what his intentions are. But one thing was for sure, I would make him pay on what he did.

The door suddenly opened making me stood up the floor. I quickly wiped the dried tears on my face before I made my way towards the doctor who was putting out the medical mask on out of his face. I could feel my palms sweating when I saw the look on he was giving to me.

No, nothing bad happened. Hendrix was now okay. I told myself hoping that it would somehow calm my nerves.

"C-could I possibly see him now?" I stuttered feeling my heart beat faster as each seconds passed with the doctor without saying anything just looking at me with sympathy and pity.

"Could I see him now?!" I asked again with a raised voice feeling impatient with the silence he was giving to me.

"I'm very sorry." He apologized before I could feel my world stop spinning hearing those three words. Three words that shattered my heart into a million pieces. Three words that discloses I'm never going to see Hendrix again.

My eyes shot open. I quickly sat up from the bed with a labored manner of breathing feeling the tears building up on the corners of my eyes. I couldn't hold it back anymore when the memories came flashing back again. This was the nth time in a row that nightmare constantly messing up with my mind. I kept on visualizing those poignant scenes it made me wanted to just stay up all night.

It was just then that an arm pulled me against someone's chest.

"Shhh, let it all out Flynn. I'm got you baby." Hendrix's voice gently whispered into my ear. I looked up to see his sleepy yet worried face. He then leaned down and kissed me on my temple.

"S-sorry." I don't know why I'm apologizing but it was the first word that came out of my mouth. Maybe because I kept waking him up late at night for the same reason. I kept on worrying him even though there was nothing to worry about anymore. It was just this damn nightmare that kept on pestering both of us.

"Look at me Flynn." He told me before he cupped my face using both of his hands and just like the other nights I would wake up in that bad bream, he leaned down and molded his lips onto mine. Closing the gap between us, I closed my eyes relishing each second his lips touched mine before he pulled out after a minute and spoke.
