Song: Fake It by Tonight Alive
THIS CHAPTER IS SO BORING. I'M SORRY BUT IT'S A FILLER AND I'M SORRY.
Amelia.
Sighing quietly, I looked around the empty space I will no longer call 'my room'. All my things are packed and have been shipped out to the UK already so I don't have anything that belongs to me with me. Unfortunately, mum is forcing me to move out to Sheffield where my father lives. I don't know why she's making me move but all I know is that I definitely don't want to go.
A quiet knock on my door startled me slightly. I opened the door and smiled sadly once I saw my best friend/cousin, Jenna, staring back at me with a sadden expression. Jenna and I have always done everything together. We were always in the same school, same classroom, same everything. We were inseparable and leaving her is probably one of the hardest things I'll ever have to do.
"So, today's the day, huh?" Jenna asked, she brushed a strand of her blonde hair away and looked back at me with sad eyes.
"Yeah, today's the day." I mumbled, looking down at the floor below us. I tried my best to hold back the tears that were now forming in my brown eyes. I know that out of all my friends and family members, I am going to miss Jenna the most.
"Promise you'll Skype me as soon as you arrive in Sheffield?" Jenna asked as she started towards me.
I silently nodded and pulled her into a tight hug. My shoulder soon became wet and I knew that Jenna was crying. I didn't care though because I was crying too. I'm going to miss my 'partner in crime'.
"Amelia! Hurry up or you're going to miss your flight!" I heard my mother shout from downstairs. I sighed quietly as I pulled away from our tight hug.
"I'll come back as soon as I turn eighteen. Then, we can both start a band and travel the world together." I said, smiling widely at our idea. Jenna is an amazing singer and we've both talked about wanting to start our own band. Jenna already knows a couple of guys who are willing to form the band but seeing as Jenna is only seventeen and her mother is really strict; she's going to have to wait until she turns eighteen.
"Promise?" Jenna asked, holding out her pinky finger.
Laughing quietly, I nodded before wrapped my finger around hers. "Promise."

"Alright, mum. I'll see you... later." I sighed as I pulled away from my mother's death grip. I'm going to miss my mum, a lot. She's always been such a strict woman but that doesn't mean I don't love her. Despite her strict rules- she's always taken care of me and provided me with everything I needed.
"I love you, darling. Please be careful in Sheffield." She sighed as she ran her fingers through her dirty blonde hair. She obviously was hiding something but I decided on not questioning her about it. Maybe she's just tired or something.
"I love you too, mum." I replied smiling, "And I'll be careful. Don't worry."

"You'll love it here in Sheffield!" My father exclaimed as we were inside his car. We're currently driving to his house and I would at least, pretend to be excited but I'm too exhausted to do anything.
I mumbled in response and rested my head against the closed window. I stared at the scenery passing by us and groaned quietly. I want nothing more but to fly back home to Jenna and our friends. I didn't want to move here, I already hate it here and I haven't even been here for more than an hour.
"Oh, do you want anything to eat?" I heard my dad ask. I cringed at the thought of food. Yeah, definitely not.
"No thanks, I ate on the plane." I lied, sending him a fake smile. Which he gratefully bought. See, my father is a very oblivious man so it's easier to hide things from him than it is from my mother.
The rest of the ride was spent in silence. Neither comfortable nor uncomfortable; just.... silence.
Once we finally pulled up to my dad's house. I looked at the grand house with wide eyes. My father works as a business man and he makes quit a bit of money but I never imagined him to be able to afford a house this grand.
My dad gave me a quick tour of the house and to my surprise, he had a small recording studio in his basement. I asked him why he had it and he told me that it came with the house. He also told me that he had considered taking the booth out and replacing it with a man cave or something like that but never got around to it.
Thank. Fucking. God. For. That.
I wish Jenna was here with me. We both would have been freaking out about this studio. I can just imagine her singing inside the recording booth while playing the acoustic guitar.
Dammit, it hasn't even been a day and I already miss her so much.
"Amelia, do you want me to show you to your room?" My dad asked, motioning to the large staircase that lead up to the second floor. I nodded quietly and followed him up the staircase and down the hallway until we reached a plain white door.
Dad opened the door only to reveal a large bedroom. My eyes widened once I stepped inside and looked around the room. The room was lacking color but I wasn't complaining. I was too excited about the large bedroom to care what colors the walls were painted.
"I left the room pretty barren so you'd be able to decorate it however you please." My dad told me. I turned around and pulled him into a tight hug.
"Thank you." I smiled.
My dad then told me that he was going to bed considering that it was well passed midnight and he had to go to work tomorrow.
I laid down on the grand bed and looked up at the ceiling above me.
Maybe this move wont be so bad?
