Chapter 88.

She Scares me.

Kat's POV :

The next morning I stretched and got up fast to get changed . I was meeting Vincent out in the back for breakfast.

I was so happy we were together , he makes me happy. But only one thing was in our way and finally she was leaving so we could be a couple .

I slid on my yellow sun dress and smiled at my small frame .

I slid on my flats as I fixed my hair and smiled .

"You look cute" Violet said from behind me.

Violet took me in , she was like a mother I never had . I smiled .

"Thanks."

"Have fun" she said putting her coat on.

I nodded and smiled at my self as I turned and left my small room and ran outside as I looked for him .

He was no where to be seen.

Hands covered my eyes .

"You look beautiful" he whispered into my ear .

I shivered and giggled at his words.
"Thank you"

He uncovered my eyes as he grabbed my hand and walked us to a table set up so cute a girl would die for .

I was in awe as he pulled my chair out .
I sat down and smiled at all the food .

"Your too sweet Vincent ."

"I try" he laughed sitting down .

I started cutting into my pancake as he started to speak.
"What do you think about them leaving ."

"Even if she hates me.. She was my friends friend. She saved me. For me to date her brother and for her to be your mate.. There will be problems , so for her leaving with Lana.. I think it might be good but something always happen's . We have a cloud around us I feel." I said bitting the pancake .

"She rejected me. Why should I not be happy . I like you Kat allot, mate or not I won't hurt you" he said sipping his coffee.

I looked at his blue eyes and smiled .
"I'll hold you on your word"

"Oh will you." He smirked .

His mother called for him as she walked over and smiled holding little hope. She was chewing on her hand .

"Oh sorry." She said quickly .

"No no. What's up mom?" He asked .

"Well since your my son, your in the wedding . Since Kat is with you . She will be walking down with you"

I smiled big.
"I would be honored ! " I giggled getting up and hugging her .
She smiled hugging me back.

"Mom." Vanessa's voice made me look over at her .

Melissa moved away and smiled at her daughter .

Vincent stood up as he set his napkin down. I went over and stood behind him as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

Vanessa tensed but ignore it.
"We're leaving soon mom." She announced .

"Alright, I need measures before you head out."

She looked at me than back at my mom.
"For ." She asked .

"My wedding silly, Alvin and the girls are getting it together-

"Why is she in it? She isn't family." Vanessa said .

"Nessa. She is Vincents-

"She isn't his mate-

"Neither are you" Vincent said glaring at me .

Vanessa walked over and slapped Vincent . Melissa gasped as she grabbed Vanessa. Vikki came out as Vincwnt was growling .
I placed my hands on his chest to calm him down, usually mates could do that.. But I wasn't his mate. I was his girlfriend.

Lana came out and grabbed Vanessa .

"Vincent calm down. She isn't worth it." I said .

"Excuse me!" Vanessa yelled as she came at me. I jumped back as she swung at me.

"Vanessa!" Vikki yelled pulling her off me as I screamed and blocked my face from hits. Even if I got a couple of them.

Vincent was calming down as Jason held onto him.

The family was in a battle.. Was it cause of me.

"You can't just come up in my family and try and take him from me!" She screamed as her mother held her back.

Her bright yellow eyes told me she wasn't in control.

"He is my brother! Your ruining everything!" She screamed .

"Your mated to Lana! Why does it matter what I do!" Vincent yelled .

"Because I love you!.." She screamed loudly as we all stood still.

My heart broke .

Vincent stood wide eyed.

"My wolf does.. Seeing you with her is breaking me!" She cried as she ran in the woods bumping past me.

I stood there .

"Nessa!" Melissa called as she sighed .

"I'll get her ." Vikki said running in the woods after her.

Lana stood there aswell as she walked away and inside of the house. She felt like I did.. But I was more hurt because she is actually Vanessa's mate because she has three mates.

It wasn't fair. Tears slid down my face without me knowing . Vincent looked at me as he walked to me . I backed away and shook my head .
"Don't.." I whispered .

"Kat." He whispered .

"We can't do this.. My heart is breaking.. Your mates and she will always be in the way.. Forever." I said as I shook my head and walked away inside the house.

My heart was broken . I ignored his calls. I needed time.
